Please update the firmware of your headset using Synapse for Xbox. As of this time, there is no way to do this on Mac or iOS devices. Don't hesitate to send me a PM if you need further assistance.

To everyone else having issues with the headset, please send me a PM so I can help you isolate the problems and troubleshoot.

Hey there 😉 I got a Kaira Pro today, I'm trying to update firmware, but can't seem to do that. I downloaded firmware updater executable which is mentioned in firmware update guide, but it just won't find the headphones which are connected via USB cable from the headphone's box and the updater gets stuck on the "Connect the headset to the PC" screen. Now, I only have one Windows PC and can't check anywhere else. But my ports should be fine tho, never had troubles before.

You mentioned Synapse for Xbox, so I tried to search for it but the Microsoft store page tells me that this app is not available. I also can't find it in the Xbox store on my series x.

Would be amazing if you can give me any guidance.

Hm, can't to edit the post, getting access denied...

Anyway, apparently I tried to update firmware using regular Kairo firmware updater. I found a link for a Kaira Pro one, but the link is broken https://rzr.to/KairaProFW and doesn't resolve.

I know this is probably dumb, but do you have the headset powered on when you’re connecting them to the computer? My computer didn’t find them until I actually powered them on. Other than that, might be a bad USB port like you mentioned. Maybe try another usb c cable if the port is working.

As far as I know, there should be a mic monitoring option on Synapse under the Mic tab of your headset. It should appear as "Sidetone" with a toggle switch and a volume level adjustment. Do send me a screenshot of the Mic tab if you don't see it there so we can get the app checked.

Same issue here, great headset but no mic monitoring option at all in the app on Xbox. Will this be fixed? It’s a key feature for me. Considering returning my Kaira Pro but if a fix is on the way they’re staying

Headset arrived today, installed the app onto Xbox series x today. I’m in the UK

I’m assuming this isn’t the permanent fix and hopefully an update is coming for a more reasonable way to do this. It honestly just seems like a work around. I worked on this with Razer support for almost an hour today.

open the Razer headset app > Mic Settings (Only 2 options Mic Boost and volume Normalization appear) > click “listen” at the bottom

“listen” should let you hear how you sound through your headphones. I assumed it was just testing how you sounded with mic boost or volume normalization on.

HOWEVER.

If you click listen in that menu to where you can hear yourself, then click the Xbox home button and go to the main dashboard you’ll still be able to hear yourself. You can then start any app/game and you’ll still be able to hear yourself as well as the game audio. Others can hear you as well.

Pretty much just clicking “listen” in the mic settings and then just letting it run in the background as you go play whatever you want.

I don’t feel like this is the way it was intended to work, but it does work (at least for the couple games I tested).

Hope this helps, as it’s the only thing I’ve found online at all regarding this.

This is what I just did playing black ops Cold War . I’d defo class it as a workaround. It certainly helps though for now. The Listen check box is meant for testing various settings though. There should be a proper side tone/mic monitor option with slider.

Exactly. I told their support the same thing. It does not feel like that’s the proper way to do it.

It’s reassuring to know that it’s possible though, and seems to be like it could be easily fixed with an app update.

Got that firmware updated, had to use US VPN to access that file.

I have stutter sound tho. And the while it happens my controller starts to get weird too. It's like there's no bandwidth for them both for some reason. I never had xbox and xbox headset but I think it shouldn't be like that anyway.

try different games. I have games that have a weird issue with sound going in and out, but also have games that work flawlessly.

I’ve read online that many of the games having audio issues are mostly Series X optimized games. It’s not just Razer headsets. It’s all headsets. Thinking it’s more of an Xbox issue rather than a headset issue.
Everything about this headset is great... except the mic. I kinda feel lied too, this mic is so sensitive and quite the opposite of what they were trying to market. This picks up my fan not pointed at me and over 5ft away, I’ve had a lot of gaming headsets and I’ve never had one with a mic this sensitive. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
How do you change and clean the cushions, though? Because after a while of wearing they would become a little bit disgusting... 😅😅
And are they twist off or slip off?

In microphone settings, there’s a volume normalisation check box, check it and a slider bar appears. If you lower it, the mic seems to become less sensitive to noises around you

I also have no idea how to turn on the mic monitoring. Just got this headset for my Series X. The instruction manual says it can be enabled in the Razer Headset App but I don’t see it anywhere at all.

Go into mic settings on the razer Xbox app select listen then press the Xbox button on your controller to go back in the game. Don’t exit the app the correct way for some reason it will shut listen off I have found so this the workaround.
Here is Razers tech support reply regarding mic monitoring

Good day! Thank you for the information. You may follow the following steps:

1. Do a Clean reinstall of Synapse.
Let’s do a clean reinstall of Synapse. For a better picture, you can visit https://support.razer.com/articles/1699349771.

2. 4. Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Open Device Manager by pressing the Windows button on your keyboard, type “Device Manager” then hit enter.
  • From the Device Manager, expand “Audio inputs and outputs”.
  • Right click on “Microphone” then select uninstall device.
  • After it has been successfully uninstalled, go ahead and restart your computer. If you have any Windows Update that is pending for install, install it as well before you restart your system.

I wasn’t under the impression that normal PC synapse software cover Xbox headsets. I still don’t think it does. I don’t think the support agent knows anything about the Kaira Pro.

I know there’s a work around, but that’s blood unacceptable for a headset the advertises mic monitoring. I want to return it, but there’s possibly 45 days till I get a refund.

Not good enough Razer, very disappointed. Support staff need to know what they are doing!
Anyone know is there anyway to increase the volume when listening ? I’ve turn the sound knob all the way up yet it’s still very soft.
Using on Series X.
Wow they looks really good:big_grin_:

That doesn’t really work because when I turn it down, nobody can even hear my voice and I basically have to scream to get them to hear me. The lowest I can go is like 30% but even then people can still hear everything around me.
That beauty is what I need. They will be in my hands soon.
This is very versatile! I love this one.
Got mine yesterday after returning my Corsair HS75XB due to permanent white noise. I'm impressed by this headset. Really like the possibilities for customization of the sound etc. Soundwise they on par with the very good sounding Corsairs.
Hi everyone,

I have this nice headset but I'm wondering if it's possible to switch it on WITHOUT switching on my Xbox at the same time, I want to use the headset on my PC\\mobile and when I do, well, my Xbox is on too.

Thanks!
Does anybody know how to perform a factory reset? Didn't find anything in the manual.

Hi guys, just got the Razer Kaira Pro yesterday. They are already synchronized with my xbox via wireless and my phone via bluetooth, the thing is, every time I turn them on the xbox turns on automatically, but sometimes I just want to use them like a normal bluetooth headset just on my phone. How can I prevent them from turning on or off with my xbox? Thanks!
I can't get mine to work on only Bluetooth with my phone or laptop. I keep getting sidetone beeps high and low randomly with an eq change everytime. When it beeps, the chroma goes from it's standard cycle to a flashing green, and the bluetooth light goes from purple to flashing blue, even though it's still connected and playing whatever I have playing from phone or computer. Eventually they just turn off.
