FOUR separate Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma Back Buttons have now broken for me. Always the left side upper button’s (bound to X, which means a lot of use due to Reload/Interact) plastic interior latch will break first. Which means it can slide down and get stuck in the left side lower button (bound to Y) resulting in either X+Y or just Y registering when I wanted only X.
Look at this video explaining it perfectly and also providing a fix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLmVASizKKQ&t=0s

No, I don’t press like a madman. After the first set of back buttons broke I started to actively think about how hard I pressed them. It doesn’t matter. The interior latch mechanism that hold the buttons in place and what makes you able to click them has a really flimsy low quality that no matter how hard you press, if you only use this controller, they will give out.
Other than this I think this is the best controller I have ever used and I have thousands of dollars lying broken in the shapes of poor Pro controllers/attachments and whatnot. No other controller than this very one has lasted me over 6 months before they would start drifting, or some other flimsy component started breaking.
TWO Xbox Elite 1, FOUR Xbox Elite 2, TWO Xbox Elite Core….(Ikr). ALL of them broke at the 3-4 month mark, ALL of the faults were LB first, started getting mute, and in a few cases fall inside the interior. Shortly after the same thing happened to RB.
One Elite 1 and One Elite 2 can be blamed on heavy bumper usage from ability usage in Warframe. But none of the rest.
Same story with multiple Nacon Revolutions and a plethora of brands.
So I love this the V2 Chroma, it’s the only controller also that I can go into the app and remove both deadzones for the sticks which makes them uuuuuuuultra smooth with aiming in games with good engines (REMOVE yeah, it’s so awesome).
I got used to the back button quirkiness as well so .
My dream is a high quality _10_ extra buttons controller from Razer. It would mean I NEVER have to lift thumbs off sticks and never have to click the sticks for anything which only hastens drift. :)
But I can’t ever justify buying more of these before there is some official info on redesigning the faulty plastic.
So, Razer? What’s the plan?! :)
