Lift it a litte bit off surface, i use three dip cans to lift my laptop off my desk and it works perfectly. There are tons of products to get the laptop off of surfaces, some have fans in them.

There might be setting to adjust the system cooling policy and the processor state that might help not make so much heat. 

Did you’ve ever cleaned the fans or change thermal paste?

As @TheeWildJaguar  said - put something underneath the laptop, so it’ll have better air circulation from the bottom.
