I was about to purchase the Razer Blackshrk V2 X when I came across a post claiming that Windows 11 does not support 7.1 surround audio. If this is the truth, I will not purchase the headphones because my computer has really important data.

Because of a forum post on razer insider, I created this post. If you look at the linked file, it states that it is only compatible with Windows 10 64-bit.

Trap and Windows 11 use the same engine as 10. Every app compatibile with Windows 10 will work on 11. Also if you forget Microsoft have own virtual Sound build in Windows 10 and 11. In short is headphones have own Sound Controller build in to the cord it will process the Sound if not this will do app in this case synapse 3 and it will work on Windows 10 and 11. ID you want to use Razer 7.1 Sound app you can install it on the same supportem Systems Windows 10 and 11. You can buy also true 7.1 headphones like tiamat v2 but you need 7.1 Sound card to use it.
Yes, but First, right-click the speaker icon in your taskbar and select “Sounds” from the menu that pops up. (You can also open the Control Panel and click Hardware and Sound > Sound.) In the window that appears, choose the “Playback” tab, then select the surround sound output device you'd like to test from the list

I don't know if Windows 11 supports 7.1 surround sound. But I know that the Linux operating system does. Well, I'm not telling you to change your operating system, especially if you say you have important data stored on your computer. I'm just saying it's possible, I just recently switched to Linux, and I didn't want to do it because I thought it would be a mistake. I just needed a Linux control panel so I could manage my sites. But I was wrong, in many ways this operating system is even better than Windows. But there are disadvantages and pluses everywhere.

It works perfectly on windows 11, I am testing it and there have been no failures so far.

I’m having trouble on two Alienware laptops using the Surround Sound 7.1 software. These headsets do not seem to work when you select the Surround Sound 7.1 from the Sound menu in Windows. To use them, you have to select the headphones from the Sound Menu. Unfortunately, that is only stereo sound. I’ve opened a ticket with Razer to help figure this out. It did seem to work under Windows 10 before, but that was also on another PC. Not sure if this is a Windows 11 issues, or simply an issue with these laptops. Keep in mind these headsets I have have the 3.5 jack and not the USB or Wireless. I think maybe next time I need to buy anything other than the 3.5 jack. At least it would show up under Synapse. Just very disappointed and hopefully I can find a solution to it.

7.1 surround sound is not compatible with Windows 11. And the program description says only windows 10 x64. I foolishly bought a Barracuda 2022 and have encountered that the headphones when using 7.1 automatically turn off after 20 seconds, without a corresponding "Power off" beep, provided nothing is playing. If music or anything else is playing, they don't shut off, but as soon as there is silence, there is a quiet noise in my ears and they silently shut off. And no, it's not a timeout. There is no 20 second timeout. As soon as I disable surround and switch to just 2.4 Barracuda, everything works fine according to the settings I set. Either reinstall the surround program. I.e. turning on the computer now always starts with reinstalling the program. Switch has nothing to do with it, I reinstalled drivers. The problem is software incompatibility. And this we will omit the quiet sound, which can come at any time, these are other problems. Thank you razer for "quality" products.

Surround system does work on windows 11 however there is a big problem where when u enable surround system, Headset mic starts picking up all sounds on windows , like youtube, twitch,,, any sound . Which is very annoying where everyone on the call with you can hear your sound and the sound of the windows. I tried every suggested fix, but unfortunately nothing work. The thing is that the software installs a new output device beside headset output which makes it messy. No official response  or fix has been released. I had to uninstall or turn off the surround system whenever I’m on call with someone on discrod or anyother app. This is so annoying knowing razer that they should release they should have released a fix from ages ago lol.
