KILM Cooling Pad - Razer 16

Hey all :)

First Razer laptop here! Razer 16 RTX 4090 (do love it, previous laptop was an ageing Alienware 17)

Just looking for some advice if possible!

I bought a KILM Mistral cooling pad, which does very well on some games.. However, on more graphic heavy games I notice the laptop is still very hot despite the pad being turned up full.

From my limited knowledge, do I need to worry? I have not played with any of the fan speed settings on the laptop yet.

Any thoughts appreciated :)

Thanks,

Robert

Describe or screenshot and share pictures of your thermals. Overheating over Time can cause the motherboard or other items to fail.

What are your setting for the cpu low, med, high, or boost?

What are your settings for the gpu?

Are the fans on max? They should be

I bought the thermal take massive 20” cooler and it didn’t lower temps at all, not even 1c, so I returned it. My 4090 unit would spike to 107c from time to time.

Undervolting worked, but they took that away from use for reasons unknown.

I’m just assuming they will all overheat and die with a short lifespan unless something changes.

Good luck

Hi!

Best mix of internal cooling solution is Upsiren UX Pro Ultra Thermal Putty on bideo memory and mossfets and Honeywell PTM7950 for CPU & GPU.

In terms of external cooling i saw what it can do IETS GT626 cooling pad.. but the issue is that Blade 16 is not blowing hot air trough his sides and for sure it will blow the hot air into that insulating sponge :(
