Razer Blackshark V3 Pro bad sound

I’ve got the V3 Pro here right now, and honestly, I’m far from impressed. The sound is very tinny, quiet, and lacks any real punch.

I tested it in Escape From Tarkov and Dying Light 2 — and in both games, my €25 Sennheiser USB PC8 delivers a much better overall sound quality.

Firmware updates for both the dongle and the headset are installed. I’ve tried toggling THX on and off and played around with the audio settings a bit, but in both games, the sound still feels really poor — especially compared to that cheap headset.

I also tried uninstalling the Razer software and running it without, but that didn’t help either.

Anyone got any ideas?

Just bought this headset to replace my $99 HyperX Cloud Alpha because I wanted wireless for Xbox and pc. For Xbox or Bluetooth when you first turn on it’s like you’re in a tin can. You have to cycle through your equalizers EVERY time you turn the headset on to get full sound for some reason. Super aggravating bug on a $250 headset is unacceptable. Also the left ear up is substantially louder than the right one. Do yourself a favor, and return it like I’m going to as well.

Yes, I just updated the firmware from March.  The audio bug is STILL there.  When you turn on, it’s tinny and hollow...You have to cycle through your eq buttons on the headset.  In my case, I use Dolby Atmos for gaming and all!  I turn on, have all eq’s set to flat for Dolby Atmos and cycle through the eq button on the headset EVERY time I turn it on.  That is the fix for the crappy sound when you turn the headset on every time.

Every time I start the V3 Pro the EQ sounds like trash and I have to cycle through to my custom setup. No word from Razer. Does anyone know if there’s a way to get in touch with an actual developer? After all these months I don’t think we’ll ever see a fix for this.

Same thing, still not fixed for some reason.  I can't imagine how many have been returned.  Same process every time I power them on.  Power up, sounds tinny amd terrible...tap cycle eq button, fixes sound.  I literally set two eq to flat for Atmos and DTSx, just have to cycle tap every freaking time.

@BillyBurz @autoWineweb313 I think the 1.4.4 firmware update released today may have fixed this. I’ve only done limited testing so far so can’t confirm 100%. Kindly give it a try and let me know if you find the same.
