Recently Razer has released a new line of laptops which finally added backlight for the alternate key functions.
I was wondering if it might be possible to replace the keycaps on older models to have the translucent text for alternate functions.
My questions:
Would it even work? It seems like enough light would leak from the leds just by looking at the sides of my keys that it would improve nighttime visibility a lot.
Are the new keycaps compatible for swapping to older model laptops?
Is there any source where one could purchase said keycaps?
If anyone else is interested in this project or has any experience with it feedback would be greatly appreciated!
