Hey guys, just writing this post because I noticed recently that all links to download razer surround for synapse 2.0 automatically forward to the new synapse 3.0 7.1 surround software.
This hurts because for a company so dedicated to maintaining legacy support, they made the mistake of completely cleaning their site of all support for the old software. All of that code that makes audio manageable was just removed. It is still available for download from third party sites and this isn't too bad because the web installed downloads it from razer servers anyway, but why would you completely remove it unless it was a sellout to make people buy more gear? Don't forget that not all of us can even upgrade to synapse 3.0 because our devices are unsupported or you have an issue like me where creating the same effects from 2>3 crashes the software.
I am extremely used to the way razer surround makes sound for games like csgo. Without the software audio comes from inside your ear instead of around it. I don't want to have to relearn audio for competitive games without razer audio filtering.
TL;DR: Consider adding the download for the legacy software at the bottom of the links that reroute to the surround 7.1 software.
[Suggestion] Don't pull downloads for Surround on synapse 2.0
