[TotW] How Are You Doing?

Most of us by now are living in a quarantine of sorts. Many of us are practicing work-from-home and safer-at-home policies. For us here at the office, it's been a week. So far, the team in Irvine has been stellar and we've been quite the rock stars. We chat often, still play games together and sometimes hang out with our cameras on as if we're just hanging out and working together. We're strong, we're keeping it together.

I, personally am curious how everyone else is doing? These are some challenging times. We can joke all we want about how this lifestyle is not so different from the usual gamer life, but when you're put in a situation where you don't have too much of a choice, it changes things. I can't meet up with friends for drinks, but we've managed to do it over video chat. Isolation for a lot of people is terrifying, while to others, it's a gift. I hope you're doing well. I hope you're all being safe. I'd love to know how you're doing.

Germany is doing ok I guess. Havent seen any toilet paper shortages but I did have 2 days where I couldnt find any milk, bread and eggs in the supermarkets. But they restocked everything on Monday so not all is lost yet.

Greetings from Romania, here everything else other than markets, pharmacies is practically closed. We have a lot of cases here around 400 if i'm not mistaken, and we're in isolation as well. Fortunately i can work remotely and still remain inside. Indeed this isolation is not so different as most of my free time i already spend on playing games. We're calm here not panicked or anything, getting out from time to time to buy food and that's all.

Day 8 and I have finished everything I wanted to watch on Netflix. Entertainment sources grow scarce, all I have is Westworld once a week to keep me living on.

We just had our first confirmed case of COVID-19 in our barangay yesterday. Our area might go into full lockdown depending on the decision of the higher ups. There are still hard headed people going outside doing nothing important even when told to just stay at home. I just hope the virus doesn't spread anymore.

UPDATE: I'm from Philippines

As of now, 1st patient is currently recovering, but another person got infected making it the 2nd case in our barangay (3rd in our city). There are still a lot of civilians roaming around. They just won't take the pandemic seriously unless someone close to them gets infected.

As for myself, I'm enjoying gaming inside my room (nothing new). I also got into cooking especially fried rice recipes.

checking in from southern california:

our roads here are nice and empty, what was once a 1.5 hr commute (IN TRAFFIC) to work is now 1/2 of that. after a few days, that has switched over to work-from-home

in my case, this is a BLESSING. I can be at home with my 3 month old baby, AND I can work on my project car(s) in my garage while on lunch breaks, and immediately after work (usually after work, I throw away another 1.5 hrs commuting home)

we habitually stock up on things when they are "on sale", so thankfully .... we are really really really good on tp / water / rice (we're asian), meat in our big freezer in the garage, and many other things thanks to a wife who does "extreme coupon-ing"

I hope the rest of you are doing okay.

I don't get it, same in Poland - almost every person is making a HUGE shopping (including toilet paper), but then all food are thrown to trash... But now I can easilly buy anything, and it's always full stock of everything 🙂

As of today, schools are still open, so my wife and I are both working. I go to a 3-day work week next week, but it's better than what is happening to most folk in my industry (events). I'm looking forward to more time to play Overwatch, actually, but am really looking forward to when some income becomes disposable again, and I can plan my next Razer purchase.

Oh, and I'm completely out of Razer Respawn ...
the region where i live is on lockdown. i still have to work full time, but im healthy so its fine.

Hello friends,

I am well, I hope it is the same for everyone and your family.
The insulation will protect the weakest from infection while awaiting treatment and the vaccine.
It is a global scourge, it shows us that we are all equal for this event, we must be united all together.
Scientists will find the solution. ^_^

Thank you to everyone for your courage, to the health sector, to businesses, to states that help save lives.

Kisses

I’m in Ohio, USA and we’ve just been issued a stricter stay-at-home decree. I’m a barista and I happen to work in a coffee shop that operates inside a high-end grocery store, so I’m still able to work. Part of me wishes we were sent home to be safer but then I’m not sure what I’d do for money. I come home to my wife and my little boy every night and I just hope that I don’t get sick or make them sick. We’re taking all the precautions we can and being extra diligent about hand hygiene, but we’re very scared about what is happening and how we can protect our son.

I hope you’re all staying as safe as possible.

Currently I'm doing pretty good. I've been trying to work on my backlog of games (way too many!!) and also trying to take the time to focus on creative outlets.

My school is closed and we have not really had much of a directive as of what to do yet, so I have been spending a lot of time watching Youtube, Netflix and of course, playing games. Also have been spending as much time as possible in the wilderness (of course away from all other people). Nice to get away from the internet every now and then 😉.

I hope everyone is staying safe, we can beat this together!.
Bussiness as usual. I work in a factory that supplies medical equipment manufacturer so there's alot to do these days. One good thing is that travel time from home to work is almost an hour in regular, but now i can do it in a half.
Let's make the world better :)
Keep it up RAZER 💚
Hi

Hi
Unfortunately in my job it is not possible to run a home office. At the moment I am on leave and we hope to be back at work here from about 20 April at least, in shorter periods.
Apart from that it is still quite ok here in Germany. We don't have a curfew here, we have a contact ban. But also here of course everything is kept to a minimum. Shopping and visiting the doctor yes, the rest no.
Unfortunately I caught a bronchitis and my lymph nodes became inflamed. But the rest of the family is fine.
Netflix,Prime and Disney Plus are available. Playing is not possible because of the family. But you can also shop. I ordered a new Razer Viper. We just make the best out of it.
Wish you all good luck getting through time.

In France the COVID pendemic is growing day after day, it's been ten days since the start of the containment, it's starting to get a bit hard for my wife and my children locked at home while i still go to work as usual.
Especially when you see no improvement, telling you that this statement will go on for quite some time.

Stay strong everyone and as much as possible stay at home, protect others and yourself above all.
Hi, I'm from Rome, Italy. I think we are the ones that has been hit the worst, people are dying on a daily basis and honestly speaking I don't think this is going to be back to normal anytime soon. We are trying to be optimistic about the matter and we're always hoping for the best.

It's been 3 weeks since I went to work and the school that my kids attend has been closed for a month. Its a good thing that hey have started the weschool and zoom system for online lessons at least they still have some lessons that they can complete. As for me, I help out around the house and with the kid's assignments. Still an active gamer now more than ever with League of Legends and alot for games in my Steam library. I'll be orderring the Razer Nommo Chroma be the end of the month I hope the guys can still deliver under said circumstances.

I wish everyone the best. Stay Safa and stand united. We can win this.
Right now, working from home until April 3rd. I work in IT, and specifically as part of a "(Cloud) Services" team at an MSP. So it has some benefits. One being in that IT Services will still be needed. Especially as organizations migrate to work from home and to operating ... "in the cloud." I spent yesterday building out an image in AWS Workspaces for my NOC.

One of our groups hosted a "virtual" happy hour on Friday, but I didn't get to see how that went since I was stuck on a 10.5h troubleshooting call until 2:30am. At least I was already home and on the call.

My wife doesn't work, and my daughter is only 2.5 years old, and she loves having me home. Comes to see me when I am working when she first gets up in the morning, and when she goes down for a nap.

I have worked from home during extended periods of time, but never found the need for video chats. I have one remote worker who I know by the sound of his voice, having never met him in person or seen him before (aside from his security badge photo).

We have been trying to share aspects of our life in our company wide Teams channels. we shared photos of our WFH setups. It is fun to see how many people you know are gamers in their spare time because of SteelSeries mice/keyboards, or Razer Storm Trooper mice mats.

My advice: Keep in contact with your co-workers the same way you would if you were physically in the office (though I know this isn't possible for non-office workers, but you can text them random things throughout the day).
Hello. Unfortunately they force me to work during quarantine times. Wish I could play some WoW or some Destiny.
