Unable to connect Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed using bluetooth?

Userlevel 2
I got the mouse about 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly fine. yesterday I tried to connect it to my pc using Bluetooth and it kept saying to try connecting again I tried to connect it with my mac and same thing it just would not connect. I tried to replace the battery with no success and updating the firmware. nothing worked. 2.4 works fine but no matter what I do it just won't connect using BT. can someone help please?
thanks!

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or not but have been having this issue for almost 6 months until I realized I had, once very briefly, connected my Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed to my IPad via bluetooth. And had quickly forgotten about it. But my iPad was always on my desk, next to my mouse. So it would turn on and connect to the iPad, apparently, and just wouldn't go back into pairing mode for some reason. Turning off Bluetooth on my iPad fixed the issue...hope it helps someone.
make sure your device has bluetooth 5
try pairing with non-rechargable battery in mouse
My mouse does not want to turn on and I tried getting it connected to bluetooth and it did not work at all, can anyone help me.

Guys I had the same problem but managed to fix it!
I kept trying to connect the mouse over BT, but couldn't trigger the pairing mode and neither my Dell 7577 laptop or my OnePlus 7 Pro saw it in BT.
I just changed the battery to a full one (rechargeble) and suddently it worked! I saw the 2 blue lights then I tried to update also the BT part of the mouse and it also worked.
So, I guess you must try different batteries until pairing works! Using the same battery nothing worked, I tried it several times.

I think you are right about the battery. The positive side of battery connector doesn't seem to be connecting the battery very well. But once its connected by pushing the metal piece slightly towards the battery. Everything works.

Its Easy to connect via bluetooth switch to bluetooth on mouse and go to add bluetooth devices and there it will be there and importantly you have to hold dpi mouse button and 4 & 5 simenteniusy to enter pairing mode for 3 seconds then blue light will blink

Pressing buttons 4&5 on my mouse doesn't go into pairing mode(no blinking blue led), but pressing 4,5 and left click does. once this happens I get "DfuBasilisk" in my Bluetooth list, but after pairing it, the mouse does not still work in Bluetooth

it (the mouse) rejects the connection , that's the error i receive.

I genuinely need the BT connection, the wireless USB connection is utter garbage, extremely laggy and randomly cuts out, requiring a computer restart to re-enable it. Will be leaving a one-star product review until this is fixed, I didn't pay $50 for something that works worse than my trackpad.

I have the same problem. I bought a mouse in America, sent it by mail to Uzbekistan. at the first start both modes worked (2.4 and bt), the next day BT stopped working. I cannot turn on BT mode, the indicator does not blink, the combination of side keys and dpi does not help. in 2.4 mode everything works fine. if hold down the left, right and wheel, the indicator blinks quickly and dfubasilisk appears in the search. under warranty I can not return, since there is no way to return back to America. the mouse broke on the second day of use. Great !

Even I have got the exact same problem...since its the same I'm assuming its some kind of firmware problem, is there any fix to this. Btw I have tried all the given solutions, nothing seems to work.
You ask their customer support to resolve this issue as they have really responsive customer support. I got to know about it when I purchased their razer basilisk ultimate and it had some issue the issue resolved after some time and thanks to their customers support.
Sounds silly, but here how it finally worked out for me. Though 2.4 was always reliable I felt like it drains the battery quickly and since BT never worked I wanted to understand what is necessary to have it run.

  • Doesn't matter if you have the dongle, you have to activate Bluetooth on your Win10 machine in the settings
  • When prompted by Windows, allow for easy pairing (once you switch from 2.4 to BT, Win10 will prompt you because it recognized a new device).
  • It was simple for me since I am using the Basilisk on a notebook and have the touchpad alternatively
For those of you who can't, activate "mouse keys" in "ease of access", because you can't use the mouse once you switched to BT
  • Confirm the BT connection and you're good to go.

I hope BT runs longer than a couple of days.
Cheers

After turning the mouse the bluetooth mode and pairing it in your bluetooth settings, ensure it is unplugged from the computer.

Please set up your mouse in wireless mode first. Update firmware. Restart PC. Open Devices and printers>Add a device (using the mouse in wireless mode if you don't have another mouse). While searching a new bluetooth device switch to bluetooth mode and wait to find it. Use tab and enter from keyboard (or use your other mouse) to select and setup the new bluetooth device. Close. Done. (On an Android device is pretty much straight forward.) [This is for Windows 10]
I can't get the cursor to move on either 2.4 or bluetooth.

I assume you have updated the BT driver on your current laptop?

If BT tech is still a mess, try using 2.4 GHz wireless connection after the BT has been turned off.

Yes, updated driver after engage support from both Razer and Dell technical support.

There's no issue with 2.4 Ghz wireless which I'm connecting to my Desktop while my laptop I choose to use Bluetooth. Another reason why I like this Basilisk X Hyperspeed.

At least Hammerhead specifically stated it require BT 5.0 while Basilisk X Hyperspeed I couldn't find any information on BT version require. Did a test on older laptop which use Intel AC 3160 BT 4.0 on Dell Inspiron, it was working well though. For my current laptop which having the same issue is BT 5.0 on Intel AC 9560 (Clean format my machine twice).

Just like old software becoming redundant, BT technology is also the same

I had a Galaxy Note 5 which uses BT 4.2, which is incompatible with Hammerhead which needs a BT 5.0.

So for BT technology, both receiver and transmitter vice versa need to be same version otherwise it will not sync

This is why wired tech is the best

I'm also having same issue for the bluetooth (Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed), It showed paired inside the pc bluetooth setting but blue light signal never stop blinking and keep jumping between "paired" and "connected" mouse point cant even move.

Please looking into this issue and solve it. This is the 1st time I bought Razer product, hopefully razer response it , otherwise,it will be the very worst experience to me and not going to have others razer product for the next time.

I have the exactly same issue with Basilisk X Hyperspeed, raised the ticket since Jun 2020 but till date couldn't resolve by Razer Support. I have personally tested most of the Dell Vostro, Inspiron will failed but working find for Acer Aspire / Surface pro machine. Hopefully Razer support team will read this thread.

Try completely removing the device from Devices and printer. And then re-pair the Bluetooth device.

Should be able to refresh the connection.
Bump. Same issue. Windows recognizes it as a bluetooth device but there is no wireless functionality. It is only functioning as intended when connected via usb cable to my Blade laptop. Even though windows sees it as a bluetooth device and it looks paired, the mouse doesn't work at all without a wire.

I also cannot complete product registrations as the product # and serial #'s return an error that says they don't match, even though I am inputting the information as it is written on the product box. Please help!
