I just got the new Blade 15 (2020) Base Model with the i7-10750 and RTX 2060. I'm loving it. Best PC I've ever owned by a long shot.



The notebook version of the RTX 2060 is supposedly rated at 1200Mhz, maybe even lower for the Max Q, which now the Blade 15's have the Max Q version, which I have. But while gaming and using GPUZ I frequently hit 1750-1800Mhz when in Gaming Mode. In Balanced Mode I get 100Mhz less. I've never seen my clock speeds drop below 1400Mhz when gaming or testing. In a 2 hour long Gears of War gaming session I averaged 1600Mhz.



My question, why are the rated clock speeds so very much lower than what I actually get?
