I am planning to buy the new razer blade stealth 13 but I would like to know why Razer decide to
install Ice Lake processors into the razer blade instead of the Comet lake, witch has 6 cores and
get up to 4.9Ghz of speed!
On paper I would choose the Comet Lake processor but maybe I am not taking something into consideration .
Anybody has any idea?

Hi Joikansai, Thanks for taking the time. Here I was checking the differences between both CPUs and looks like they both take the same amount of wattage, so if that is correct I would think that Razer should give people more options like they do with 15 inch Razers
My bad told more wattage, I meant more power, yes they’re both same 15/25 watt tdp/ctdp cpu same as whiskey lake 8565 on stealth early 2016. But extra cores may take more power and run hot on stealth cassis. On stealth 8656 4 cores 15/25 watt plus mx150 25 watt it was already drained stealth battery on early bios version with 65 watt factory AC adapter (max usage like gaming), they made lower power limit on new bios to avoid that. Maybe if use 6 cores, it’ll be worse, other note from new stealth specification, with Gtx 1650 (I didn’t find anywhere that mentioned 1650maxq which means it’ll use maybe 50 watt one) theoretically 25 watt plus 50 watt not mentioned other parts power demand, they have to use bigger ac adapter that may against ultrabook portability terms. Can’t wait to see real user review or detail pro review like from notebookcheck.

It’s because comet lake use still 14nm chips, icelake use 10 nm even weaker compared to comet lake 6 cores it’ll probably take more wattage which is a drawback in an Ultrabook, beside it contains also gtx1650 that on the paper already draw 50 watt.
