A few problems with the Razer Blade 15 - (drivers, matrix, housing) - on Razer Support

To Whom it may concern,

A few days ago I bought a Razer Blade 15 laptop advanced model with Nvidia GTX 1070 Max-Q design and 144 Hz display. I detected some problems in it, which I mention in points:

1. The first of these is the lack of the option to change the value of the screen refresh rate. There is only 144 Hz option available. (In Intel Graphic settings, Razer Synapse 3.0 and Windows system). I don't know how to restore this setting, but I know that it should be available.

I decided to download the new device drivers and the next problem appears.

2. Finding other drivers wasn't a problem but it occurred with the Nvidia driver. On the official Nvidia website there are drivers for Geforce GTX 1070. However, I do not see the driver for Geforce GTX 1070 with Max-Q design there. (So far the problem from point 1 still exists)

The question arises here: Whether the controller for 1070 Max-Q is the same driver as for 1070? (this is important information for me, so please tell me if you know)

Why do I try to download it by hand at all? This is interesting,
3. because Nvidia Geforce experience shows me that it is UP TO DATE and comes from 12.07.2017, what is not possible to be up to date! (next problem)

4. In general, the production quality of the computer is at a high level. however, I have a few inconveniences:

4a. The notch in the body is too small to put a finger in it and open lid with one hand.

4b. I discovered a small bulge in the upper part of the cover near to the camera. it is difficult to explain without showing, but it looks like the protective gum pad does not protrude to the normal length like in other parts of the cover.
I don't know if it's normal or not a production error. 😕 ?

4c. The casing and all components during the intensive operation get very hot despite cooling. I do not know how much it will affect the life of the equipment over time, but I have concerns.
It was a very expensive purchase and I would like to be sure that it will last several good years. Of course, no one will tell me the truth. ^^ :/

5. The last thing is that the matrix tires my eyes very hard after 30 minutes of use. Is it normal at 144 Hz?

To summarize, I really care about receiving help in these matters because it may affect whether I give him back to the store.
If you do not know the answer to all the questions, write what you know, maybe you can help a little.

Write the links to which you answer please :)

Greetings!

Hey @OlexiaFounder, you'll need to download GTX1070 drivers with "(Notebooks)" on the side. Do send me a PM with a photo of the bulge near the camera of your RB15 along with the serial number. Let's pick it up from there.
Hey guys I need some help before I contact razer. I just bought a new razer blade advanced and it has RTX nvidia gpu and the problem is that this thing has Intel UHD graphics driver and app installed plus nvidia driver and GeForce.

The problem is when I open Geforce or nvidia the program is all green and all messed up like you can barely see it because its all distorted green. I don't know what to think of this having both.. Why would it have both if its got RTX gpu. I thought it only needs one driver as its controlled by the optimus tech maybe idk what I am talking about. It has no gsync so I don't get it.

This is the only post I seen related to my questions or concerns. Thank you.

You'll need both since the laptop switches to the onboard GPU when there isn't a need for the dedicated GPU to save battery. Do send me a PM with screenshots of what's happening so I can get a better understanding of your situation.
Thank you for the response. I fixed the problem my self. Let me just say when I first encountered the problem by opening Geforce that was preinstalled or automatically installed my first instinct was to try and update Geforce and Nvidia drivers. I did this but I did it from device manager and after that, I tried to find the driver by Nvidia's website by searching for my device in the download section. None of these fixed it so I started to worry. I then posted here.

What fixed it is when I let the Geforce app automatically install or find its own driver or perhaps it was the most recent one, either way, I fixed it. But I had to fumble through the barely visible Geforce app as it was all green dotted like some weird distortion. Its been a few days and I have not seen it when opening Geforce. I thought maybe I needed to delete the Intel UHD driver or app. The last laptop I had was Gateway and that was over 10-15 years ago. Dual GPU or Optimus tech was unknown to me till now. I did read about it before my purchase I just didn't know this model had it.
Hi,
I sent a reply through conversations, but so far no one has answered me, so I write here.

In response to your post:

1.
I updated the dedicated graphics card driver, but the problem with the frequency change (144Hz <-> 60Hz) still occurs. The option isn't shown.
2.
I am sending photos of the bulge near the camera.

3.
I have one more question: What should I do in the future if I want to install the system again? You haven't added any Windows recovery media.
Oh man I would contact Razer and send that back in for a replacement. That appears to be a factory defect. Do it sooner rather then later bro.

Apologies for the late response. I've been out for another project but will get to your PM in a minute.
