Cynosa V2 Keyboard not responding

I bought a Cynosa V2 keyboard and was able to use it for maybe a week, afterwards it stopped responding. I've tried resetting the keyboard. When connecting to the computer it says "The USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize." Sometimes the keyboard will light up for 2 or 3 seconds and turn off. Nothing seems to get it to work, I tried updating the software on it through Razer website but can't do that since the keyboard won't connect. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you connected directly to a USB port, not on a USB hub? Have you tried connecting it to a different computer and check if it behaves the same? Let's try to isolate the problem by following the steps from this link. If that doesn't help, do send me the serial number of your device via PM.
