DPI randomly scaled up super far

So this has happened to me on two occasions. I'm playing a game when out of nowhere my DPI is scaled like ALL the way up. My cursor becomes way too sensitive.

The first time it happened I was playing game A, died due to the scaling so I had time to check whether Synapse needed an update. It did. I updated it and all seemed to be fine.

A few minutes ago I'm playing game B, when the same thing happens. I check Synapse only to find that it doesn't need an update. It says it's fine. My DPI says it's at the same place it has always been. Weird. I close and restart Synapse and it's working fine now.

Is there any way to circumvent this from happening again? If this happens when I'm raiding it'll cause an unneeded wipe for sure. I've had so many issues with Synapse and Razer products, and support has taken over a year to get back to me about something that I'm sure they just don't care at this point. I'm at the end of my rope with this brand as a whole.

I'm using a brand new Razer Trinity (purchase date was *barely* two weeks ago).
