Game Booster Power Profile

Is there a spezific reason why the game booster power profile gets overwritten every time it is activated?

For excample, if in windows power profile options i change CPU min/max from 100% to 99% this gets overwritten next time game booster gets activated.

I find it kinda nice to have this game booster power profile thingy, but i want to run it with the cpus turbo disabled for gaming only, therefore setting cpu min/max in the cortex power profile to 99 does the trick.

But as stated, next time it is set to 100 again, i think/guess cortex sets the parameters again every time it is activated.

Is there a way to set the cpu value in this game booster profile and leave it there without it gets overwritten every time?

Hey there!

Thank you very much for bringing this issue to us. Could you please try to disable the 'Enable game power solutions' in Razer Cortex > GAME BOOSTER > BOOST > Specials? And see whether this issue persists.

I attach an image, please check it.

Thank you for your patience. Please feel free to let us know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
Michelle
I already tried this myself. By doing so, when starting a game, the cortex power profile no longer gets activated. Therefor power profile is not automatically changed when starting a game.

The idea I have is:

Normal windows useage with the standard windows power profile, CPU Set to 005/100. Here the CPU should and could use its turbo if needed.

Gaming, by starting a game with the cortex game booster enabled the automatically power profile change done by cortex to the cortex power profile is what i want. By disabling the option you stated above the cortex power profile no longer gets activated.

the problem I have with the cortex power profile is, when I change the cpu values from its default 100/100 (min/max) to 99/99 (for disabling cpu turbo clock) this gets overwritten next time the cortex power profile is automatically activated again (by starting a game). Then the CPU values are no longer 99/99 as I set them, they are 100/100 and are resetted to their defaults.

So what I am guessing here is, that cortex power profile is set to its defaults every time it is (automatically) activated by cortex. Cortex is doing the profile reset.

Every change one is doing in the cortex power profile gets overwritten when it is activated by cortex. It is not just activating the profile (which is what I want) it is also resetting the profiles settings to default (which is what I not want).
Is there a update on this?

Got my new Blade Pro Mid 2021 and Cortex is still overwriting changes made on the Cortex‘s Windows powerprofile.

Any change made by the user in the powerprofile in windows which cortex is using, gets overwritten when enabling the booster the next time.

Would be very cool if changes made in this energy/powerprofile would be permanent so i don’t have to change it every time I activate the cortex booster.
