Got fouled into buying Huntsman Elite

I just bought this keyboard, how can you sell a keyboard today that requires your shitty Synapse 3.0 software to use lightning? I just want my keyboard to have a static Red and no software, NOPE, you gotta use Synapse 3.0 for that!

How can you write on your website this has on-board profiles when it only stores macros and keybinds? Maybe put an asterix like "*Not for lightning", because that is what everyone thinks.

I'll return this bs keyboard and buy a new k70 rgb instead, how can we not have the keyboard with a static color without your spyware lol at the very least you could've used static as default and not a damn christmas tree

"HYBRID ON-BOARD MEMORY AND CLOUD STORAGE: Access personalized settings anywhere".

Yeah right!

I am with you about this issue.

I also have Razer Huntsman. I have been using it since March 2019. Since then I have been enjoying it very much, very reliable keyboard but being dependent on software for custom lighting is really lame. Besides I think Synapse only works on Microsoft Windows OS.

This is a dishonest approach and I hope in the future they fix this issue and stop deceiving their customers. Shame on you Razer.

I love my Huntsman Elite keyboard... no problems with it and just updated the firmware on it awhile back (it fixed the phantom typing issue at times which I was experiencing)

Hello, most of the manufactures have their own set of software for the hardware which is nothing out of the ordinary. I have been using Razer products with the Synapse 3.0 for sometime now and have never faced any issue. And even if some problems did come up, it was solved with the Razer support in due time.

Again different people have different likes and preferences, its always the end user's choice to select the correct peripherals for ones own requirement.

Talking about "HYBRID ON-BOARD MEMORY AND CLOUD STORAGE: Access personalized settings anywhere", it varies with different companies and most of them are in beta or new like the Synapse 3.0. So Razer would be working on such a tech now and will implement it in the future.

About spyware, then we will have to name all the softwares on the computers as spyware as all them has multiple system processes accessing working with lot of system files and processes. :smile_:

All good things come out perfect after the beta, so there is nothing wrong going on here with the software or the peripherals. Cheers!

how did you update the firmware?

https://dl.razer.com/drivers/Huntsman Elite/win/Razer Huntsman Elite Firmware V1.2.1.0.pdf?_ga=2.89845912.2035033758.1574112249-1667686099.1571737077&_gac=1.204784292.1572525501.EAIaIQobChMI4NPF9cHG5QIVCL_ACh2MYQbbEAEYASAAEgIK5fD_BwE

Firmware Updater link is in there for the ORIGINAL Huntsman Elite ONLY as this is the only one that needs the firmware update applied to it, newer ones do not require this update.
Bought for programming not games.

I just want to set a default Static red profile and then unload Synapse as I don't need it

Unable to 'store' an profile so when I switch to my second PC that cannot have Synpase 3 installed the static red profile sticks. It doesn't. It starts cycling through all colors (default). 'Storing' the default Static profile I want and then cycling using Fn+Menu key does not work per Page 14 of the manual.i.e.
Your Razer Huntsman Elite can store up to 5 profiles from Razer Synapse 3, which you can use even on systems that do not have Razer Synapse 3 installed

Based on above behaviour, firmware, driver, and Synapse need an update.

Also No illumination on lower secondary part of key (.e.g. + under = becomes impossible to see in dark)

Disappointed by everything except the actual keyboard response which is excellent.

However, knowing what I know now, would not have purchased and as before this I was considering Razer as a viable brand alternative for phone and laptop, releasing a product that does work as specified blows all future sales opportunities.

So don't worry, I'll be gone long before the door can hit me in the ass.
