Is there any way I can have synapse control an additional piece of hardware?

I have a few RGB strips lying around along with a few atmega32u4 arduino boards, along with additional parts and thought it would be an interesting project to see if I could tie it into my chroma setup. Setting up the arduino to control the LEDs isn't an issue, I just need some way of communicating with the synapse software. As far as I can tell, the chroma SDK only allows for software to control razer's hardware, not allow additional devices to be added. So is there any way I could do this?

You could write an app to control both Chroma and your strips. There's a good explanation at https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/c359ec/razer_this_is_not_ok/ as to why they don't want to let everyone hook the other way into Chroma

Useful thread, thanks for that. Razer specifically does not want to use DLL wrapping to hook into Synapse and that is perfectly understandable, its a massive security risk but the overall concept of having 3rd party hardware hook into synapse is sound and Razer themselves seem to agree to that.

Either way, I hope they open up their connected devices program to independent devs.
