Keys randomly get stuck (I've looked at other threads)

Howdy, I currently have a huntsman elite keyboard and never had this issue. However, 4 days ago I got a new PC and this is when the issues started. I think it occurs both in and out of the game but its occurrence is very random, at first I thought It was just me accidentally holding the key or something. Basically every few hours one of the keys gets stuck (typically wasd when I play games but V and F got stuck too when I was typing). I don't know what causes it but I've googled ways to fix it and nothing has yet worked. Any help would be appreciated as I love this keyboard dearly.

Does the key is slowly coming up when bottomed (compared to any other fully working keys)? Is there a chance, that some sticky liquid (for eg. cola) was poured on the keyboard?

Did you try this (under the question 'My Razer Huntsman Elite has unresponsive or stuck keys.')?

Don't know if it will work, and you do it under your own risk, but since it's an official firmware update, it could help you.

EDIT: On this link there are all the firmware updates for the Huntsman Elite. There is also the importan note:
'IMPORTANT NOTE: Please only use the most recent firmware updater.'

So, perhaps it would be better to install the most recent version. Again, you are doing this at your own risk.

No, in fact I have bought a new keyboard and the issue still occurs on a brand new hunsman elite. Turning off synapse seems to fix the issue but im not terribly sure as it only happens 2 or 3 times every few hours (more so when im playing games possibly)

Yes, I have tried this and I do have the most recent version installed which should have the sticky keys patch. (I have a new huntsman elite and the issue still happens on it with the new patch). it seems only turning off synapse makes the issue stop.

Probably a dumb question, but is your Synapse up to date? It seems like this is a Synapse issue.

It is up to date, I have actually uninstalled it and reinstalled it and this helped for a whil, but after a few hours of use my keyboard started sticky keying again (the new and old one)

Sorry, but really don't know how to help you anymore :frown_:

The only thing left for you is to file a support ticket for this problem. Hope anyone will answer and solve the problem you have.

One more thing that felt out of the blue: if this started to happen when you changed your PC, try to switch the keyboard to another USB port. I had strange behavior on my headset, and this helped me.

I have actually tried switching USB ports but I think I figured it out, I can leave synapse on only if the wristpad is unplugged, so basically for some reason the wristpad with synapse on causes a glitch for sticky keys which is disappointing. I will open a support ticket ASAP

Strange, because this is the issue it should have been fixed in one of the firmware updates.

If you get any answer from the support, please put it here. I am curious how this is gonna be resolved.

They are replacing my keyboard, So I will basically have Owned 3 different Huntsman Elites in 2 days. Hopefully the new one works. Will update thread at some point soon!
On further testing i have found it is actuall 100% synapse as removing the wristrest still leaves the keyboard with stickykeys. After testing with synapse disabled for 30 minutes I have had no issues whatsoever. I have also found hitting 2-3 keys at the same time makes the sticky key appear faster/more often? maybe it triggers it (it can be any keys i did WAD Spacebar D and W and even Q E and Spacebar
I am having a similar issue. Random usb connection loss and profile seem to change randomly. I am playing a game and just start running off. I can tab out of game to stop the auto run and tab back and continue playing until it does it again. Most times when the profile changes I have to close Synapse completely and relaunch; then the profiles are back to normal. I am using Tartarus v2, Cynosa Chroma, and Basilisk v2. Today, the .> key was > without hitting shift. That was special. Closed Syanpse and restarted laptop and that fixed the issue. That hasn't returned again. the rest of it is pretty much constant. It is super inconvenient while gaming.

All my apps are up to date. I don't know why this issue continues to happen. It is so random. I just replaced all of my other gaming gear; was thinking I had made a quality purchase on solid gear that was going to perform. I am having second thoughts now.

I have had it twice now - and I have a Blackwidow V2. My symptoms were stuck or ghost keys. What I think happens is Synapse has an update, and things go screwy. At least for me.

I think for some reason, the update does not completely clear the old installation, and there are conflicts. I reinstalled Synapse, over the existing version - and so far it appears to be working correctly. The stated versions are the same but if it did not install correctly, then there would be issues.

I do not think it is a hardware issue, I think it is software. Mainly it clears when I reinstall Synapse. This should be corrected by Razer, as a manual update in this day and age ...:frown_:
[left]I have the same issue, got told by support to reinstall synapse. Didn't work as I expected. The option right now is to live with it, or uninstall Synapse and rebind the keys in all games you play with the default keys for the keypad. Please update me if you find a fix!

Cheers!

I have a Tartarus Pro, just opened the box, and the movement keys and a change weapon key that I mapped keep being pressed as well. This was happening on another one I purchased at the end of last year but I thought it was because I spilled a little bit of water on it.
After alot of testing, this is a bug in synapse acording to me that Razer don’t fix. If you try using it without Synapse it should work, though, it sucks.
