Kraken V2 Chroma Microphone "rage-causing" issue


Hi there,

I've encountered 2 issues right now.

1. The microphone randomly turnes itself on for no reason. Then I'm just spamming the damn button on the mic to turn it off (works like after 4/5 times).
It's most commonly when I boot up a game, but sometimes it happens mid-game where it keeps turning on when I turn it off..
(I can hear myself through the headset when the mic turns on)
The mic turns on, I turn it off, turns on, I turn it off, turns on etc. etc.
This started happening out of nowhere and it's driving me crazy.. On the edge of just getting rid of the headphones and buy some new one without a mic.

2. The LED lights are just not working at all anymore. Been this way for like 8 months now, but I thought why not mention it anyways.

Does anyone have a possible solution here?
I already tried:
- disabling it as the recording device (is still disabled).
- Removed Synapse (also caused issues of SteamVR not booting up..)

- For the LED's I've had contact with razer back then but still wasn't able to get it all fixed.

From the looks of it, this is highly likely a hardware issue. Could be the cable or the USB connector itself is causing the disconnection and would also explain why the LEDs aren't functional. Please PM me the serial number so I can check the warranty status of the device. Let's go from there.

The lights are not my biggest problem, the MIC is.
I'm almost pretty sure it's either just in the warranty period, or just slightly over..
