Nari Ultimate Dongle Problem

I've had the Razer Nari Ultimate for about a year and everything was fine until today, the headphones disconnected from the usb dongle and wont connect to it anymore. the usb dongle shows up as "Avnera 6301AV" and i've tried updating the firmware it says "updating usb dongle firmware failed" and when i try to use the recovery tool it says "no action required". there is no way i can get a replacment dongle so how can i fix the problem?

So I was having the exact same problem for like a week now and just stumbled across this "fix" a guy on here posted. I will say try at your own risk but it yielded immediate results for me and is a continuous solution so far. I only just did this so again at your own risk. I was just more willing to break the dongle then buy a whole new headset.
