Hi. I noticed that my touchpad was getting unresponsive a few months ago. I had to really push down on the corners to click, and click and drag was very finicky. I opened up the back and tracked it down to a loose adjustment screw that tensions the bar that crosses the button heads. I adjusted it until the touchpad felt okay, but it feels like it's loosening again. I figure I'll put some threadlock on the screw and set the screw again. Before I do that, though, I'd like to know if anyone has the correct torque setting for this screw.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a different solution I could try?

You need a T5 screwdriver (Torx T5) to open it. If you need further help, PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and start a case for a repair request if necessary.
I opened the unit up, and unfortunately, it looks like the issue is actually that the battery has swollen up and is pressing on the bottom of the trackpad. I took a look through the warranty information, and it sounds like this isn't covered, but social media seems to suggest it's a common issue. Is there any kind of free replacement plan in place, or replacement parts that I could buy myself and make the swap?
