Razer Nari Ultimate wireless dongle disconnects and "malfunctions"

I've only had my Razer Nari Ultimate for a couple months. While going about business as usual today, my headset randomly disconnected (not anything new, because this happens from time to time but fixes itself by unplugging and plugging the dongle back in).

However, this time when I plugged the dongle back in, my computer alerted me that the USB device was malfunctioning and that it was not able to detect the device. After trying different USB ports and getting the same message from all of them, I uninstalled the driver for the headset, uninstalled Synapse, restarted my computer and installed a clean version of Synapse. After plugging the dongle back in after the fresh install, I was met with the same error message.

After failing to find more info via google, I plugged the dongle back in one last time and it randomly detected the device and downloaded the drivers. The headset worked for maybe 10 minutes before having the same issue. I unplugged the dongle again and plugged it back in and it seems to be working for the time being. If this is something that is going to continue to be an issue, is there a known fix?

Hi there guys,
just try to use Nari dongle recovery tool.
Just give up, i think most of us have been having similar issues with Razer peripherals just randomly disconnecting and de syncing and Razer just wont fix it. I have the same issue with the Base Station Chroma just randomly disconnecting, tried everything with no success. im 100% sure your issue with your headset can be traced back to synapse to the point that if you dont even run it all issues will disappear
@G_Leland stuck at step 3, not finding the dongle for the recovery button to light up
I am having the same issue :slightly_sad:

Everything was working fine and suddenly the dongle disconnect. Now any time i plug it in it says it is an unrecognisable USB device?

Dongle still works fine on ps4, so it must be a Windows USB problem.

Hello, pal.
Try to reconnect USB dongle to other USB ports,
untill system recognize the dongle for recovery.
Hello @G_Leland ,
tx for the try, after going through a few ports i finally found one to pair and it was a success.

after a few minutes working and as the device manager still showed it us uknown device i dared to restart the pc.

for a few seconds after restarting the pc it was still working but then it plopped back to "device unknown"

which brings me back to the starting point of having a headset which seems to be physically working but not usable till we get a fix from razer or a better idea what to try
