Razer X Core Chroma Ethernet randomly stops working

I have a Dell XPS15 9550 connected to a new Razer Core X Chroma. And wired Ethernet suddenly stops working. Sometimes a troubleshooting in w10 solves it but sometimes I have to reboot the whole laptop to get it working again. Anyone else experiencing this? I have latest thunderbolt drivers installed.

Hi there! When did this issue start to happen? Have you tried connecting the Core X Chroma to another PC/laptop to see if the same issue persists?
I'm experiencing the same issue on a Dell Precision 5540, latest version of Windows 10 with all drivers updated. Resetting the Ethernet adapter fixes it for a few minutes at a time before the connection drops again.
I think I might have found the problem as I also have had some issues with the grapich. It seems that the power drain from the laptop was to big for the thunderbolt alone, and after connecting the power supply it seems to be problem free.

My laptop is plugged into its own power supply, and Ethernet is still dropping after working for a few minutes.
I have a new Core X Chroma (less than 2 weeks since purchase) with a RTX 2080 Super in it, hooked up to an XPS 15 7590.
The Dell is on its own power, so that's not an issue.
I've seen this happen too.

I went into Device Manager and let Win 10 install the latest driver it could find for the AX88179 Ethernet adapter and the dropouts stopped...now I'm just left with absolutely craptacular transfer speeds.

Nothing can break 1 megabyte/second for some reason.

I plugged in a generic Anker USB adapter to the Core X Chroma's onboard USB hub and can get 20 megabytes per second on downloads so it's not the Thunderbolt 3 link being overloaded or anything like that.
