  1. How can i justify a purchase of the 2070 RTX Blade 15 in EU when it is €405 overpriced after adding the EU VAT compared to the US price?

The Blade RTX 2070 is priced at $2599 (€2302) in the US store and €3259 in the EU store. The EU price includes the VAT which is 24% of the €2302. This equals to a VAT of €552, making the total price €2302 + €552 VAT = €2854. What makes the price difference of €405. The customs is actually €0 for the product. How can the shipping alone cost €405 ($457)?

I would happily pay €100 extra for the effort to ship to Finland, but €405 is absolutely absurd for something that is not even handled by Razer.

I would have already placed the order if this was not the case. Don't you want to make sales in Razer or is it really this easy to fool the EU customers?

Edit: I found a large local retailer who sell the product for €2949, which is just €100 more than the adjusted US price + i get their return policy (Razer is no good). I just read about all the issues (BOE screen, coil whine, bleed) in reddit and am afraid to pull the trigger. Luckily i can just return it to the local retailer if there are issues, but still.

Edit 2: I found an even cheaper local retailer selling the same exact product for € 2699,00. That my firends is a whopping 18.8%, or €560 cheaper than Razer's online store. Why would they inflate prices so extremely is absurd.

Good that you found alternative. Note EU price may vary due country politics, vat as well. Finland and Scandinavia countries seemly higher than here Germany and Luxemburg is the lowest. If I count with currency Germany price is also higher than US, and also note US and North America like Canada on some regions apparently have to add region tax and costum. Plus we’re lucky have politic that cover costumers with 2 years guarantee when you buy from Razer directly due imports law, but on some reseller they hide it and states only a year and offering their own warranty like overall 4 years for €500 when I’m not wrong. So I’m good with EU (Germany) Price Razer store and of course you can find alternative for purchasing it, this thema is dozens time talked here. But correct me if I’m wrong, glad to hear yours.
  3. My OP already has the correct VAT for Finland (24%) and correct customs (0€). I have double checked these from the official customs website, although i know these very well from experience. There are no other "country politics" on top of the countries specific VAT anywhere in EU. The VAT in Germany is 19%, so you are paying even more hidden extra fee than i would with 24% VAT, since the final price in Razer's online store don't change at all based on EU country. That's ridiculous.

The entire of EU has a minimum of a 2 year warranty and 14 day return policy. That's a law that covers the entire EU no matter where in EU you live or buy. Retail or online or even another EU country, it does not matter.

I don't understand why you are trying to defend such an obvious pricing "mistake"?

I’m not defending it’s your purchase if not in your budget just don’t buy it. And any idiot about costume and tax that should be paid in other regions outside EU. Germany is lower because your country income average is higher. Politics that I meant is such like that, EU import law, ”0 tax” basically you pay what state on the website here. And no our price (Germany) is lower compared to EU store at least on Blade so I don’t pay any hidden things. You can check Evga step up, tax is reduced than the price announced when you apply, if you know that, that’s also another advantage from this “politics”.
  5. Dude, you are on some BS right now. An inflated price has nothing to do with my budget. The GDP per capita of Germany and Finland has a puny 1000€ difference. The GNI per capita is actually way lower in Finland than it is in Germany, 45K compared to 51K respectively. Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.

I also found an even cheaper price from a local retailer of € 2699,00 for the exact same model that goes on Razer's EU online store for € 3259 (RZ09-02887N92-R3N1) with all taxes included on both shops. That's a whopping 560€ difference. How do you explain that? Do you think the local retailer is selling it for negative profit, SMH.

    Stop talking BS.

You should stop talking nonsense, can you read this? Don’t look at Gross but net, anyone know Finland is on top.
As I mentioned you can search your best Razer gears purchase there’s vary price tag from Reseller, mrsp is one from Razer store, reseller may put whatever they want to put with their own advantages for example amazon price which may change everyday. But with that €21 price difference you won’t get Razer exclusive gifts like games and on amazon there’s no technical support toward Razer hardware they’ll probably forward you to Razer CS.

You act like you know everything but It’s not.
  7. There is a 230€ difference on NET income in your link and who is the author of that "article"? He even goes to say "I wouldn't call bellow written a scientific research, as most of the data in this article are taken from Wikipedia's article List of European countries by average wage.". Ring any bells? That does not have anything to do with VAT. What you are talking about without realizing is purchasing power parity. However it has nothing to do with the prices as i could just order anything from any EU country and only pay the VAT difference, there is no customs, so purchasing power makes absolutely no difference in the final price. You are gravely mistaken in this topic and honestly quite naive and spreading false information.

Hovewer, none of it makes any difference in the fact that Razer's online store prices are extremely heavily inflated. In my previous post i gave you a direct example of the product that this topic is about. It includes the "razer ecxlusive" gifts even when bought from the retailer. This absolutely debunks everything you have said in this thread. There is a clear 560€ difference in price, which is a whopping 18.8% difference.

You are clearly a Razor shill or a fanboy if you keep defending such obviously inflated prices. Your English is terrible and your claims are absolutely ridiculous.

Let make things clear you said Blade price on Razer Store is extremely overpriced, I pointed you can get way around with some advantages and disadvantages. You talked about vat etc I mentioned it’s due income average politics and you said our average salary is higher which is totally wrong and I pointed that, out of topic though.
Am I correct? Sorry yes english is my 4th language so you can attack that areas, but I understand what you’re pointing. And your whining won’t effect the price as well just grow up and take your choice. To me it’s better buying from Razer store and we have direct phone to ask in Hamburg if anything goes wrong. And yes I am a fanboy that moved from Apple, since for 4 years Blade feed my need well.
  9. Our average salary (in your link, which is not accurate) is only €230 higher. That makes absolutely no difference in anything whatsoever. It has nothing to do with the fact that Razer's EU country specific online prices are extremely inflated. If you want to see more accurate data about wages in both countries, which the author himself has not stated to be inaccurate (unlike in your link), and proves you even more wrong, then compare this to this.

At the end of the day the Tax free US price on Razer's website should remotely match the EU price after VAT of the shipping country is removed and currencies converted. The prices don't come even close. To get the correct price, one is better off to buy from a local retailer who does not inflate their prices like Razer does for no apparent reason. You also don't need to deal with the terrible Razer RMA and always get a new device from the Retailer instead of a refurbised one like you do from Razer if something is wrong with the device (which there often is with the new blade judging by reddit). You are blindly defending bad consumer practices by Razer here willing to pay 18.8% inflated prices for worse customer service. Amazing.

This is what happened when kids too much seeing internet. Go to Japan and get all Apple to Razer products cheaper there. You live in the country with good income if you having issues with your purchase just buy cheaper laptop, asking or making threads on Reddit and complaining the prices won’t change the reality.
About the link click each country 10 yearly if you are really smart and can read graphic. The counting period is huge difference.
  11. Smh, you are not a smart man. The evidence is right there in front of your eyes, but you keep living in denial. I can't help you understand basic economics. You can't explain why the local retailers are selling it at the correctly adjusted price, because all you can do is keep making strawman arguments. That's reality for you right there. You sir are a pathetic fanboy living in a different reality.

Basic thing buy laptop that the cost is reliable to you, don’t complain about product price. You’re only tiny “smart” guy who’re whining for things and blaming “fansboy” that their opinion is wrong. Wake up dude.
  13. What part of the fact that a retailer is selling the laptop 650€ (18.8%) cheaper do you not understand? I can afford either price easily, bruh. It does not change the fact that Razer's price is inflated, does it? Pro tip: NO IT DOES NOT.

This post was tilted off the face of the earth from the start. And the only posts made from the account were to discuss opinions about pricing. Before anyone calls anyone a shill or a fanboy, check that troll privilege, bruh.

Coming here to smear disdain all over the walls of these forums about pricing grievances contribute absolutely nothing to community discussions but to incite and flame the sodium levels of this thread.
