Software question from a prospective Razer buyer...

Hello,

Im new here so apologies if this is posted in the wrong section.

I am currently using a Corsair model mouse, but have grown disenchanted with it mainly due to the software.
It seems their "updates" always manage to break something. Mechanically, my one model mouse has a persistent double click when you left click (this was an RMA return for a broken scroll wheel). Another has a delayed left click issue and their only solution to "soft-reboot" the mouse by plugging/unplugging while holding down mouse buttons..etc. Well, how many times do I need to do this to make it stop because it wont?

Regardless, Ive been checking out Razer. My one question which will make or break my purchase concerns toggle based macros:

Q: When running a long-ish macro that is toggle based, when untoggling it (turning it off) does the macro stop immediately (interrupt) or does it continue to run through to the end then stop? Im looking for it to stop when I want it to stop, not run through the remaining steps then stop.

Q: Can multiple macros be run at the same time?

Q: How difficult is it to edit your macro? Click and drag available?

Q: Does Razer software support a "Retain Original Key Output" feature? This means in that in addition to being able to use the Action you bind to a key/mouse button, you'll also retain the original output of the key. "A" can be A and switch profiles, for example. You can also have "A" and do macros, text, media keys, etc.

Thank You

Before going further. Have a look in this forum about all the complains about the differnet Synapse types (2 for some devices still sold, 3 in beta for more than 3 years and still very buggy)
May be you rethink your wish to change brand from one of the best to one of the worst.

I'm with @aeroDarkJungleGreen316, I have a Razer keyboard and mouse and I am very disappointed with the quality and the support for their products.
That being said, if you look in this forum you will see people complaining since rarely someone writes in a support forum to state that everything is OK. Personally I haven't had any issues with Synapse (can't say the same with Cortex) beyond the fact that is rather heavy.
Answering your questions:

Q1: I've made a macro for just holding "a" and assing that key to "activate or deactivate continuous execution". The result was that pressing "a" caused the keyboard to write infinite "a"'s quickly and when pressing again the keyboard wrote infinite "a"'s, but slower, having no way to stop it and forcing me to reboot the computer (deleting the macro didn't work). I don't know if I set it up properly, but I'm not doing more tests with this and would say that it don't work.

Q2: I'm not testing that after failing the previous one.

Q3: You have the option of record macros on-the-fly with the keyboard (not sure if in all models), which is convenient, but slow and not very reliable. On the other hand do it with the macro module of synapse is pretty easy. You have a lot of options including mouse tracking and drag and drop.

Q4: Not named as ""Retain Original Key Output" feature" as far as I know, but you can have different (5 in the keyboard on-board memory and infinite in the cloud) key assingments profiles, one been the standard and the rest of them as you wish.

So, my conclusion, Razer offers a lot of possibilities with their products, but, if you are a fussy user like me, you may face a lot of issues.
