I bought this mouse because I heard it was the highest rated razer mouse or one of them. I've loved it, best thing mouse I've ever used. Which made it all the more upsetting when it all of a sudden started not really working. While playing a game, sitting and waiting in said game for a friend, started moving again and realized my mouse (which was connected through USB dongle at the time) started moving then stopping, moving then stopping, like it was cutting in and out. Restarted my pc, nothing. When I try using the cord it makes the sound of something connecting and disconnecting repeatedly, which I found strange because it wasn't making that sound when just using the dongle, it seemed to be worse when using the cord. I've tried different USB ports, I've tried the ones in the back of my pc, I've tried a different computer and the same problem kept happening. I really didn't want to give up on it so soon because my replacement mouse is abrasively slow and painful to use and this was my first Razer product. I tried running with and without Synapse turned on. I wanted to try resetting the mouse through Synapse but it wouldn't stay connected long enough to press the reset button. I then tried uninstalling the mouse driver and restarting my pc so it would reinstall, but then a cuation syombol showed up next to it on the device screen and in details it said "this device cannot start. (code 10) {opperation failed} which I think means the driver wasn't installing correctly but the mouse still "worked" by means of disconnect reconnect but if it was saying device can't start how was it still able to half work? I found that I could manually install razer drivers so I downloaded a link from the razer site, going through the processes and it got to a point where I needed to plug in the USB dongle and I did, it worked but when it got to a point where I needed to plug in the cord and then it started doing the sound of plugging something in and out and it wouldn't let me press next on the driver installer application so now I'm at a loss. If my mouse is beyond help give it to me straight, sorry if this was long I wanted to list everything I had tried as clearly as I could. I really would like to know if I can get my old mouse working again before I buy a new one.

I might also try uninstalling synapse and using ccleaner and then uninstalling razer devises again as I saw someone suggest on this site for someone with a similar problem unless someone else a better or different idea, or if someone thinks it's too late and it's dead for good.

You need to update firmware while you holding hard reset combination - LMB+RMB+wheel button, and it can be not from 1st try, I got it from 3rd try
I can't believe that actually worked, I read somewhere before you can reset the mouse by holding the same buttons and I wanted to try resetting it with Synapse but it kept disconnecting with the cord and with the dongle so I couldn't press the reset button through the app, so I tried holding those buttons down and nothing happened. No one said anything about needing to launch the firmware updater exe and press the buttons during the part where it needed to be plugged in with a cord if it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, that seems like an oddly specific set of hoops to jump through, especially considering I didn't see this written anywhere. Thank you. I'm still a bit wary and don't wanna get to excited because I still have no idea why or how this started happening in the first place and why I needed to do so many specific things and try other things that didn't work. I almost still want to purchase another one just in case, in my head this solution seems temporary because it seems too good to be true.

Just want to say thank you so much for this comment. I was on the verge of returning my mouse because I was having real connectivity issues, and this solved it straight away.

Im having the same issue with my Deathadder v2 x hyperspeed  but I don't see any firmware about this device anywhere .

I used for over 6 months without any issue now suddenly it runs into this issue

Pls if somebody could help

Of course I will avoid to buy Razer again, it is broken in a short time. No difference between 6-7 $ mices. It is not dropped or damaged but electronics is broken, it disconnects and connects itself. It happens at different computers, I tried to load firmware etc.
