Tartarus V2 d-pad (thumb-pad) locking

I wasn't using my tartarus v2 about 2 years. I remember back then there was a bug in synapse 3, reported multiple times all over internet. Now I got completely new PC so I wanted to use my tartarus v2 again and I was supprised this bug still exists after so long time. I was testing it and I'm 100% sure its software issue. Please fix it ASAP becouse this controller is useles for now.

I have the same issue mate, got told by support to reinstall synapse. Didn't work as I expected. The option right now is to live with it, or uninstall Synapse and rebind the keys in all games you play with the default keys for the keypad. Please update me if you find a fix!

Cheers!
Reinstall is the way for helpless support to say "we did nothing wrong, it is your fault". What more, this problem exist for so long and if they proposed you to "reinstall" it looks like they don't even know about it or they don't want to know.

So far the longest and up to date reddit topic I found:

BTW: Looks like this problem also exist in newly released Tartarus Pro (LOL)
Possible fix guide for PC (Win10)

After hours of searching and a lot of frustration I FINALLY figured out a fix that removed ghost running/virtual sticky keys when using the Tartarus V2. I will write it in step by step to make it as easy as possible:

Kind Regards,

Dennis
Can you confirm it still working for you? Because I tried this fix and this still happens, maybe once per 1-2 hour of play. Anyway I have fresh windows 10 install on new PC build so I didn't think it would need any fix. Device should just work properly from the first start of Synapse 3. Before I also tried it on windows 7 with no luck.
Hi mate,

Not working anymore and Razer is not helping either...
Just bought the Tartarus v2 and while i really enjoy it, I am also having this issue too. Fresh install of Windows. Its obviously and an issue with Synapse and I cant believe that Razer hasn't addressed this despite the multiple reports of it not working over the last 2 years.

A class action lawsuit was filed against Nintendo due to joycon drift, and I would argue that this is a similar problem.

Razer, please give us a decent response. Admit if you don't know what it is. Tell us what you're doing if you do. All we want is to know what is happening.
Same issue with my just-bought Tartarus PRO.
It's a shame that a new product still face this issue, and Razer doesn't care at all...
Razer, look at all these users with the same problem. Answer us.
I just got a Tartarus V2 after having an original Nostromo N52 (pre-razer... a.k.a. super old school!) that this is based off of. After well over a decade of awesomeness and tons of use, my old N52 finally quit registering when plugging it in to any PC, so I was glad to finally upgrade to the new shiny thing that is the Tartarus V2. I over-nighted the shipping on this thing if that tells you how much I looked forward to trying it out. After my first night of gaming and some searching on forums, the sticking thumb pad was an instant deal breaker. I'm sending it back for a refund in the box from the used N52TE that's showing up in the mail tomorrow to replace it. BTW, look this stuff up if you want a history lesson in this product. If you like FPS gaming, these things are a must so stick with them! The original N52 was friggin' perfect, and then Razer bought the patent and made it shiny and clickey. While I wait for Razer to come to their senses and either go membrane, analog, or at least fix what they've got with the Tartarus line's switches, a used N52TE or Razer Nostromo looks like the best option in 2020 long as there's some life left in them. Also for what it's worth, I'm glad to be going more old school. Loud clickey keys are a fad, and one people who game in their bedrooms where their spouses also sleep could do without. Membrane stuff is quiet, reliable, and the natural successor to mechanical. Please quit hating on it... 🙂
