USB ports underpowered

Hi,

Hi guys! I just got a new Razer Blade Stealth 2019 and all works quite well so far (at least for me), and will post here more info about it later, however I kindly ask if anyone experiences the USB ports not providing enough power (to use an external SSD or HDD)? I checked with some software and apparently all ports provide 500mA (that is USB1 base current by my probably lacking knowledge) and not even 900mA. Maybe that software reports it wrong.

Anyways, I have a WD Black 7200 2.5'' external HDD which advertises to use only 800mA (again maybe it advertises wrong) and yet it fails to connect at times to the USB, unless I put my Razer in Power Saver mode. I also tried to hook an external Samsung EVO Plus 970 SSD (which needs 8W of power) and it fails miserably keeps disconnecting and is clearly not getting the power it needs. I have none of these issues with my Toshiba Portege Z30, everything works fine there. They have all the power they need to run.

Is it just my model? Is this a design problem with the entire line of Razer Blade Stealths 2019? Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it because the laptop is giving all it's Watts to the CPU and GPU and has none left for USBs ? I tried on all ports, USB 3 type A, USB C, Thunderbold. Actually on Thunderbold it fails immediately after connecting. Maybe because it has higher voltage (dunno).

Please help, any word of advice is greatly appreciated.
