Wi-Fi not available - Razer 15 Advanced 2020 Windows 10

Hello there! My name is Bryan and I have an issue with my Wi-Fi. I'm checking the community to see if anyone has a solution. This issue is a very common one, from what I've gathered reading similar cases online.

My Wi-Fi has stopped working altogether on my Razer Blade 15 2020 Advanced Model. It's almost as if the Razer had a physical WiFi button and I accidentally pressed it, except that's not the case. Windows says it's Off, and trying to turn it back on produces no results. In the Device Manager list the Intel card looks fine, says it's working and with all the latest drivers. In the Network Settings page, it clearly states that the device is disconnected, but if it's internal hardware I don't see how that can be. I have tried more than 10 different troubleshooting alternatives online, everything from updating drivers to resetting Windows completely and starting from scratch. The factory reset (using Razer's recovery pressing F9 during boot) did not solve it, as even the Windows onboarding wizard to get started with your PC showed the same result (Wi-Fi Off). So I reckon this could point towards a hardware issue, but unsure that's the case. In all other aspects, the computer is as fast and efficient as ever.

Please find attached some screenshots illustrating why I can't connect. I'd like to avail of the warranty while it's still valid (for a month or so), but it'd be even better to fix it myself, so I'd really appreciate it if anyone would have any tips. Thank you so much!

me too....
My wifi on my blade 15 2020 oled version has also completely failed and was correlated with a new Windows 10 update, but interestingly if I plug in a usb wifi adaptor, it works perfectly.... so possibly some hardware failure of the internal card? I think we may need official RAZER tech support
This is happening to me as well on the blade 15 2020 base model. It seemed to happen right after I installed the bios update from last year.
I just went through all the steps with someone from Razer Support and the last suggestion was a system restore. Don't really want to do that so hoping someone finds an alternative in the next few days.
Has anyone been able to resolve this?
Spent about an hour messaging support with the same exact problem. they sent me this link, and the install fixed the problem for me completely.

BIOS update did not work in my case.

I had this problem today with my Blade 15 Advanced late 2019 and FIXED it!

Description of my problem :
All of a sudden, no more wifi connection. I couldn't even *see* my own wifi SSID anymore (or others). I thought the wifi adapter was broken (hardware). Tried ipconfig in a CMD window but this gave nothing (no wifi adapter listed) and running the Windows troubleshooter showed me : "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter".

The solution (in my case) might seem unlikely but it WORKED!
- open Windows Services
- search for the WLAN AutoConfig service
- if this is set to Manual start : change startup type to : Automatic
- then click Start to actually start the service
- after doing this, the ipconfig command showed my wifi adapter again
- I disabled and enabled the wifi adapter and behold... it was working again
- scanned for my wifi, connected to it and everything was back to normal

Hope this helps for other too.
I have the same problem, the solutions mention above don't work, please help!
Hello guys,
I've the same problem since this morning on a Blade 15 2020 advanced.
Tried all solutions and send a ticket to support.
How did it end for you ?

Thank you !
If I remember correctly, I went to control panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections. Right-click on your wifi adapter and click diagnostic. If I recall correctly, it will ask you if you want to let it fix it, click yes. That should fix the problem. I might have disabled and enable it before doing that too. I spent more than 7 hours doing complicated stuff and ended up just waking up in the morning and trying these simple steps and it solves my problem. It's the second time this happens to me, the first time I contacted Microsoft, I reset my laptop and they push another version of windows to my pc, and it fixed the problem. If my first step didn't work, try contacting them.

I hope it will help you.
Hello all,
I have tried all the 'soft' solutions when I got both my WiFi and my Bluetooth tabs gone and I was unable to switch on the WiFi. The last thing before thinking to repair my Windows was to update my firmware found here, which is clearly for my Blade model:
https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2652

After the update, everything came back normally, both my WiFi and Bluetooth.
I hope that helps some of you out.
What I do to fix this is I plug an ethernet wire to my laptop. The laptop will not be able to identify the internet connection. Wait a little bit with desperation, it will disappear and reappear trying to connect to the ethernet again. Then you turn on the wifi, and it worked. I really don't know why this happen, but this is usually a window bug. When I plug the ethernet in it probably stimulate window to recognize the bug and fix problem. If you ever encounter problem, I do a lot, blame window for stupid update, these problem I see as a pattern result after an update or did not update. Razer build very good product, don't blame them.
I got this from a Razer support agent.

Reset your BIOS.

  • In startup, once the “Razer Logo" appears on the screen, tap the "F1" or "Del" key repeatedly.
  • The BIOS screen should appear as below. If it does not, please try again and ensure that you press the "F1" key fast enough to trigger the setting.
  • IN THE LAST TAB, there is an option to Restore settings to default.
  • Click Save and Exit tab> Select Restore Default> Reboot system
After trying almost everything possible on the software side, I think the issue isn't related to the BIOS or the operating system, it's a hardware problem. I replace the wifi adapter and never had any issues since then... It's very disappointing that I had to go through all of this. Anyhow, I hope this will help others.
Hi all,
I fixed the problem multiple times but it always came back for me ...
I updated the BIOS (fixed it for 1 month) then I uninstalled the new windows updates (fixed for 2.5 months), then I reset the all computer (fixed for 1 week).
I finally bought a usb wifi dongle on Amazon ... sad to paid $3k computer ... was my first and last computer with razer !

@Demerak Where did you buy the wifi adapter ?
@Thomy083 I bought the same adapter (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160 MHz) on amazon.
For me, the Wi-Fi failed twice. The first time, it 'fixed' itself. I was using my LAN connection while I was troubleshooting the issue with Razer. The 2nd time, the BIOS reset worked. I can't remember how I 'reset' the BIOS but it worked.

I am lucky that I have bought 3 year warranty with my computer so I will consider this option (replace Wi-Fi card) if it happens again.
