Hey guys. I have a laptop that has only one jack for headphones, and I was wondering if this razer headset which also has one jack would work (microphone and audio)

Thanks.

It has combo mini-jack (audio + mic in one). It has also additional splitter included to have audio & mic mini-jack separately.
So if I plugged the headset into my Laptop which has one jack, would I be able to use both the mic and be able to hear audio through the headset?

Yes. Laptop must have combo mini-jack (to support both audio + mic), but most of them have it.

Hi. This headset arrived but for some reason when I plug it into my laptop and go to my recording devices, it only shows the microphone Realtek High Definition Audio, and when I listen to my self using that mic it is my laptops mic because when I mute the razer headset it can still be heard, and quality is poor. Do you know how to make it so the razer mic is being used? Thanks for your help.

What laptop model do you exactly have?
Check if your mini-jack is properly (fully) connected (not loose).

Your laptop built-in mic & Kraken X mic can use the same "Realtek High Definition Audio" line for recording - it really depends on the realtek driver / software - how it's recognising external microphones. For eg. on my older Dell laptop - when I plugged a headset into 3.5mm combo mini-jack - Realtek Software was asking if the new connected device is headset only or headset with mic (if the 2nd option it automatically disabled built-in microphones, and used the external one).

Hi.

When I plug my headset in, I’m asked whether the plugged in device is a headset, headphones mic in, Line in and Speaker out. Which one would I have to pick to use both mic and audio from my headset?
