Seems kinda bright to me :confused_:
i like to have a one with yellow lights....green is great too
its so vibrant that idk what to think of it. On one hand it looks nice if my setup is all razer and all green but it isnt though. mostly coz it costs way too much
maybe razer should make more keycaps of more colors. diversity is nice. maybe something like those pudding keycaps from hyperx

Hahah I'd honestly go for artisan keycaps for the most detail!
Nice one and pretty cool design

Wouldnt green switches cause the chroma effect to have less visibility?

Yes, almost any color you set, looks green through these keys. The only key by default that you can half see the RGB through is the Windows key, but even there the color is way off. I've swapped a few keys with my Blackwidow Lite Stormtrooper Edition and you can really see the missing color. This keyboard with these keys really should have just been white LEDs like the Blackwidow lite.

I'm not 100% sure I like the optical keys, the "hit" is registered so high in the key stroke that sometimes I it feels like I just touch a key and it registers a "hit". I get that for gaming that microsecond of time from normal "key down detection" may be ideal, I'm just glad that keyboard is not on my main computer at this time.

And I just got my new keycaps to fix the issue with the RBG on this keyboard being of no use. I ordered a set of the new Phantom Black keycaps from Razer and I have to say the results are very good. The only key I didn't swap was the spacebar so that I don't misplace the keyboard with it being completely black now when off.

Did you notice any difference with the light "hit" when using the Phantom Keycaps?

No, the switches and that characteristic of them remains unchanged. I've gotten better about resting finger tips more lightly on the keys so it's been less of an issue lately. Much better when using a wrist rest, I've just put the one that came with my Blackwidow V2 Chroma in front of it for now. Speaking of that keyboard, it now has the Phantom Black numpad since those were not used on the Huntsman TE.

I just received my Phantom keycaps (black) today and I installed them on my Huntsman TE green keycaps edition. I have noticed that the keys are quite a bit quieter than the green PBT keycaps that come on the keyboard. Have you noticed this as well? The only key that sounds like the green PBT is the backspace key. Every other key has a quieter bottoming out sound. I actually kind of prefer the sound to the original PBT keycaps. I'm also not blown away by the RGB look of these keycaps on this keyboard because the optical red switches only have the LED on the top of the switch and so the keycaps don't really show that much RGB throughout the bottom of each key. I do like how they look when turned off though.
quick question to everyone I know this is an old thread but will these keycaps work with a razer ornata v2?

I did some research for you and it doesn’t look like the new Phantom key caps will work the Ornata V2 because the Ornata V2 uses a stem design that is different than the standard mechanical switch uses. Sorry.

No, it's designed for mechanical/optical keyboard, that uses Cherry + or box [+] style stem.
Ornata is not compatible, because it uses propriatary keycap/stem design.
yeah I looked into it more and found out that it is mechanical 😞
