If you can go to local store and see your self 😛 Every razer mechanical keybord have cut-out for arrow keys so you can cheack it on your own and see if you like them. I use previous blackwidow X chroma with green and yeah it's little louder but not that mouch,

Is the huntsman elite too loud? I am gaming at quiet place so i wold like to know. Thx

They are pretty loud... I find myself trying to type very quietly when my gf is sleeping. Still my top pick keyboard from Razer but not the stealthiest.

I saw some reviews saying that purple switches are noiser than green.

I ended up grabbing the Huntsman Elite, just to try something different after having blue and brown switch keyboards. I've found that this keyboard works wonderfully for both gaming and typing, with the switch offering a middle ground between some of the faster switches and blues. I love the tactile feedback, and the actuation point means I could type relatively quickly without putting as much force into each keys like I would with the blues. It's just a pleasure to use, even if the underglow is a little on the extra side.

The Blackwidow Elite is better than the Huntsman Elite - I own both and have used them extensively -
Overall the Blackwidow Elite wins - yes the huntsman is great and has slightly softer to press switches - but it kinda feels slightly gimmicky - the switches feel a bit synthetic and not real mechanical feeling like the Normal Razer switches -
Overall - the Blackwidow Elite wins
Just want to add - the new Razer Switches have ZERO key wobble - I have two Blackwidow Elites - with green and Yellow switches and both are awesome - i alternate every couple of days as i cant really decide which i prefer - Yellow or green -
For me - the most impressive thing about the Blackwidow Elite is the awesome Costar Stabilizers - they have ZERO rattle - compared to my Corsair K70's ( i have 3 ) which are now all gathering dust - I've tried to lube and mod my K70's stabilizers but it still doesn't feel as good as the Costar stabs on the Razer boards -
My only gripe with the new Razer boards is the cheap and flimsy volume Wheel ?? - it's total trash - On my huntsman its stiff and grinds like its hooking on something and on my Blackwidow Elite with the Green switches its erratic - doesn't control the volume smoothly and accurately - sometimes when I turn down the volume jumps up slightly before coming down - Razer really dropped the ball with the cheap flimsy lucky packet level volume wheels - - this is one area Corsair blows Razer out the water - the Volume wheel on the Corsair boards is on another level completely -
I'm wishing for 3 things for future Razer boards
1. High quality volume Wheel
2. Lose the gimmicky Media buttons - this is a gaming board - not a music player
3. all metal case - top and bottom -
if Razer does this - it'll be an all time best ever Gaming keyboard - Period
but if the media buttons have to stay - at least use Mechanical switches - not cheap rubber dome - after all - is this an all mechanical keyboard or not ?

I have not used the Huntsman elite yet, but this is a good compliment for the Blackwidow elite keyboards!

Cheers!

The huntsman looks "Elite", its not time for me to upgrade yet from my Blackwidow elite yet. Still in love with the green switch keyboard :big_grin_:
a word of warning to anyone wanting to buy either the huntsman elite or the Blackwidow Elite
They are both amazing keyboards - I own both - the switches on both are different but amazing .
the huntsman switches are clicky but light to press - the Blackwidow elite green switches are also clicky but require slightly more force to bottom out
Now the bad news - !!
Both the keyboards have faulty volume wheels - the quality of these wheels is pure junk - - it belongs in a lucky packet - not on a $150 + premium keyboard
The Wheel on my huntsman is very scratchy and requires force to turn - and the Wheel on the Blackwidow Elite isn't linear - it jumps from say 1 - 6 - 8 - 3 - 9 -12 - 3 - its all over the place - unpredictable -
Razer went and built their best keyboards ever and spoilt it all by putting on lucky packet level volume wheels that belong on a disposable toy meant to last a few hours - other than that - the keyboards and the switches on both are absolutely amazing .
I forked out $30 and got myself a https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MV411BR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it's a proper volume wheel built properly - so i'm not even going to bother exchanging the keyboards as they will still have the Shitty sub par media volume wheels -
I so wish Razer would stop cutting corners - and build a proper - ALL METAL housing - ( top and body ) and put on a top quality volume wheel and charge it accordingly for people that have the money and want top quality -
ALL METAL housing , Double shot ABS or PBT keycaps - TOP quality volume wheel -
MECHANICAL MEDIA SWITCHES - it so funny when all mechanical keyboard manufacturers state all mechanical switches on the box but put rubber dome media switches to save $1 and a $2 volume wheel
Having said all of the above - I still feel that when all things are taken into account - the Huntsman and Blackwidow Elite are by far my favorite mechanical keyboards ever -
NB - I have 3 corsair K70' - Rapidfire , cherry red , Cherry Bue etc - so I've compared -
the only thing Corsair has better than Razer is the Smooth high quality Volume wheel -
If Razer had Corsairs volume Wheel it would be in the Stratosphere -
I'm hoping for better media and volume controls from Razer in the future - PLUS ALL METAL housing - but in my honest opinion - I would much prefer a keyboard with only a volume wheel and no media controls - Media controls kinda make the keyboard feel like a DJ Deck ??
All we need is a high quality Volume knob - i 5 years and many keyboards later I don't think I've used the media buttons EVER - not once ! - only the volume wheel
Just looking at the video, you have goosebumps. Imagine if you use it :cool_:
The lighting needs the software and that is a shame. Corsair at least has individual lighting onboard profile stored.

Has anyone found a fix for the synapse software????
The synapse software works only after the first reboot after the installation of the software , on next reboot it stop working.
i have to unistall and then install to make it work again.
I cant believe that a keyboard I bought for more than 200 euros has no software update to fix this problem.
none of the effects work this is very dissapointing.

@Tysean everything take time 😛 for now i think more devices with this type of switch will be great like new keypad people wait for long time and later we see how market will behave.
I think releasing this keyboard with opto-mechanical switches is a step in right direction.
Due to contactless optical actuation, finally these switches are immune to chatter and can be considered 100% reliable. This keyboard will increase the overall quality and prestige of Razer products. Because let's face it: in metal contact switches, you can never know when a switch will develop chattering. I believe at least no Huntsman keyboard will be RMA'd because of key chatter.

If I might be so bold, I suggest Razer to completely abandon using traditional metal contact type switches and adopt opto-mechanical switches from now on.
You get best of both worlds by using opto-mechanical switches: The chatter-free nature, thus reliability of optical sensors combined with traditional mechanical keyboard switch feel. Win-Win.

The new purple clicky switches used in Huntsman are just great. I think Razer developers are already aware that now all we need is 2 more types of opto-mechanical switches:

1) Tactile (but Non-Clicky) Opto-Mechanical Switch.
2) Linear Opto-Mechanical Switch.

I have the Huntsman keyboard for 1 week now and enjoying it so far. Minimalist, clean design... I like it.
How is everyone finding the kb's feet? They don't prop up high enough to create the usual incline I'm used to. The feet tend to drop with any slight movement, too, requiring them to be re-opened and re-adjusted. Tempted to attach my own keyboard feet.
has anyone found a nice key cap set for the huntsman elite?

VERDICT:

I am most definitely not going back to a BW, this thing is just too awesome. After a few days of getting used to, I find myself being faster at typing, and the over FEEL of the keyboard is more premium

For those who dont mind the price .... RECOMMENDED!

Few things in this keybord can be improve 😛 media keycaps are not transparent so light dont shine like other keys simple fix but yeah huge miss. Next thing is front connector to this keybord in relase someone sad thet we see devices that can be connected to this keybbord and nothing so far this second miss. On othear aspect i cant say anything becose it's great.
