I had this problem as well - Against my better judgement I went looking for keycap replacements for my Ornata and when I asked a couple of the Razer store employees, they ASSURED me it would work. I was pretty sure they were different switches, but I don't think they knew the products very well. The store in Seattle is still pretty new.
And this is sad, that emplyees doesn't know the products that they're selling.

The Ornata is NOT a mechanical keyboard, it does even use normal key caps it uses laptop style keycovers. I don't know how you thought they were compatible but its whatevs.
Its Mecha-Membrane, that means is a standard rubber keyboard with metal in the rubber to give a satisfying click.
