clean Goliathus extended

This is probably a bit odd question! I wondered if anyone has any tips on cleaning a Goliathus extended mat? I've had one for around 3 months now and noticed odd marks appearing and want to clean it but don't want to damage it in cleaning process. If anyone has any tips would be grateful

    I always clean my cloth pads with wet cloth (water only).
