Hello.

I am currently weighing up 2 options for getting a new Razer mouse, but I'm torn between the Razer Basilisk x Hyperspeed and Razer Basilisk V3. Besides the obvious - wired & RGB vs wireless & no RGB - can anyone help me with their own experience? I'm looking for both strong points and weak points.

Not interested in other mice, for the sake of a straightforward topic.

Based on first hand experience, which would you recommend?

Depends on your usage - if you'll travel a lot or do lot of mobile work, go with Basilisk X Hyperspeed.
If you'll be using it at desktop PC - I'd go with V3 for Chroma and maybe more buttons.

Both will be the almost same weight (but it depends on the battery, that you'll put in Basilisk 😵. I've done a battery life test on Basilisk X Hyperspeed, and it's awesome (both were tested on the same Duracell AA Battery model):

  • 971 hours 20 minutes on Bluetooth mode (125kHz)
  • 385 hours 21 minutes on 2.4GHz Hyperspeed mode (1000Hz)

On V3 you'll have Hyperscroll tilt wheel, which you can set your scroll tension (but this feature for me is to set and forget). Also you'll have clutch button (aka. sniper button), which Basilisk X Hyperspeed doesn't have (I also rarely use this). The main buttons are better on V3 (2nd gen optical switches, which are crisp and nice to click).

Overall V3 will be better option, unless you need wireless.

Amazing feedback, thanks.
