Do any of the mice with 12 side buttons have 3 top buttons | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

I’m looking for a mouse with 12 side buttons like a keypad, and three large click buttons on top, like the Logitech G600 has, but without buying anything from Logitech. Most of the Razer ones I’ve seen only has 2 large ones on top like a traditional mouse, and I really like that third button for my ring finger. The Naga Trinity has that little spot on the side, but I don’t know if that’s a button or not.

The selected spot on right side is only finger rest, it doesn’t contain any buttons.

With Razer Hypershift function, you can double the amount of buttons by creating another layer of binds/macros. It may be helpful for you. But it also requires to press hypershift button + your selected key combination.

Well that’s disappointing. Any Razer mice planned that would have 3 top buttons and the 12 on the side?

https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice/razer-deathadder-v2-x-hyperspeed.    We have this version on website only the website needs a lot of work.  With two extra buttons on top.  The only other option I know we have is mouse wheel you can push down as a button.   But they really need an option on website to add different options to standard size mouse.  So you can add the feature you want to a design.

If you count scroll click as a button, then yes - most Razer mouses.

But none have 3 buttons on the middle (excluding scroll ofc).

The G600 is the best mouse ever because of the extra button on the right like the OP is talking about.  Unfortunately it wasn’t wireless and isn’t in production any more.  I feel like that third button should be standard in MMO mice.

I just bought a razer naga v2 pro and am not very impressed.  It doesn’t have the free scroll like the G604 or the extra button like the G600.  I might return the v2 i just bought to be honest.

Does the mouse wheel count as button.  I don't remember many 3 button option at all.

Maybe in the future.

The scroll wheel does have 3 buttons on the v2 pro.  Down click, and one side click in either direction.  It’s nice but not the same as the 3rd button on the g600.  That position is the best for G-Shift.  I know razer now has their hyper shift, but there aren’t any mice with a good button position to comfortably press while pressing the side buttons.

I hope razer comes up with a mouse that scrolls like the G604 and has a proper hypershift button placement like the G600.

Also, I glued little bumpers on the 6 outer buttons so my 12 plate can act as a FPS or MMO mouse easily.  It’s so easy for me to find the correct buttons because of the bumpers I glued on.  I do this on all my 12 side macro mice now.  I did this to the Naga v2 pro i just bought as well.

The placement the OP is wishing for a button on, would be the ideal spot for a hypershift button.  I have the naga v2 pro but there’s no button that I can comfortably press, while playing competitively, to activate hypershift.

I can’t use one of the side plate buttons for hypershift because I have to hold it while pressing another button.  The best bet on the naga v2 for hypershift would be one of the two buttons on top, below the scroll wheel, but pressing (much less holding) one of those buttons requires awkward hand movement requiring me to take at least one of my fingers off the click buttons and readjust my entire hand twice to use the hypershift.  This causes severe performance loss during competitive play, or even in standard business use (I use gaming mice for work to help with productivity), or home use.  For this reason I have never used razers hypershift.  Although, on my G600, I use the G-Shift ALL the time.

I kind of like Razer more than logitech for some reason, although I seem to use more logitech products due to superior design like the third click button on their G600 and the amazing scroll wheel on the G604.

I’m posting here to support razer and I hope razer comes out with better designs.  If you need a product tester and designer, let me know lol, I’d be happy to help improve your products.  (I also have some good IT skills: PMP, SQL server, DB Admin, AD, VB, PWSH, etc.)

Well thanks for adding information to razer forms site.   Yes I know they are considering all kinds of different options.  I have also attached raise letters to my mouse when learning to used it for different games.  I know they been thinking about the analog button and what other mice should get it.   I definitely think the 3 button mouse should be looked  at even 6 buttons on top for testing.   Some even wonder about touch screen with button or keyboard on screen.  We will see what happened in the future stocking equipment is a big decision.   But hopefully great new design keep coming.    Maybe even a mouse we can use in vr as controller with great position accuracy.  But thanks for posting your request.  You never know customer custom request might even be possible one day.

Thanks you
