Hesitant to buy Razer products... | Razer Insider

Ever since I bought my first razer naga mouse back in 2010 - 2011 I've been a huge fan of that mouse. It has truely been a game-changer for me and I couldn't imagine playing any MMO without it. My first naga had a pretty good run, it lasted for like 5 years and after it died I immediately bought a new one, which this time was an upgraded version of what I had, with a new design. Unfortunatly it didn't last that long and I had to return it to the store where I bought it and replace it with a new one, which I still have to this day.

I've had this mouse for a few years now and it's still somewhat working - some of the thumb-keys are less sensitive now, so sometimes they don't respond when clicked. It's kind of the same thing that happend with my other two nagas however they also had the double-click issue. So i'm afraid that it will get worse and this mouse eventually will share the same destiny as my other two. Therefore i'm considering buying a new mouse already.

The thing is, Blizzard Entertainment are going to release a game this summer which I am super excited for, and I absolutely need my MMO-mouse to play it, so I want to have a back-up mouse incase my current mouse dies.

Now to the point of this thread; We live in 2019 and Razer is no longer the only provider of MMO-mouses. I've been looking around the internet and found that there are a lot of mouses similar to the razer naga. I've done some research and to my surprise there is a lot of negative reviews, topics and videos about Razer's product and especially the new razer naga. Even on these forums I see threads about people saying they wont buy razer products anymore and that they are very displeased with the quality of products and software (synapse 3.0). It honestly makes it really hard for me to convince myself to keep buying razer products. I mean I know for a fact that my last two razer mouses didn't last as long as my first one and I've been telling myself that this was just a coincidence. But after reading a lot of these negative reviews I start to wonder if the quality of razer products really have gotten (so much) worse over the years.

I really want to just stay with Razer's products because thats what I am used to but there's a lot cheaper alternatives on the market and if the quality of razer's products has become so bad that products barely even last for a year and software keeps bugging out (because its still in beta state?) then maybe it's better to just avoid that headache and try something new.

At this point I really wish I could just get the original razer naga from back in the day or at least the 2014/chroma naga and stick with synapse 2.0 as well.

Please give me some good news Razer.

Best regards,

A confused/worried customer
still using my 2014 naga, I feel like its time to upgrade though
I really don't know what you're trying to get from this. If you have any issues with a device, we'd be happy to help you out but these kinds of threads tend to become troll nests if not start flame wars. I'd tag this as "Non-constructive" so consider this thread closed.
