Razer DeathAdder v2 Pro will not connect via 2.4 ghz dongle | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I got a Razer DeathAdder v2 Pro and a Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed 65% Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard today. The mouse will not connect via the dongle, but it will work with the cable connected.

The keyboard works only if I use the dongle from the keyboard, if I use the dongle from the mouse nothing works.

I wish there was a way to remediate the problem on my end. Its prob something simple.

Device name THINKPADX1E

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8850H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)

Edition Windows 10 Pro

Version 21H1

Installed on ‎6/‎17/‎2020

OS build 19043.1081

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0
Is the mouse dongle even visible in OS?

On the other side both devices supporting Hyperspeed Wireless Multi-device tehnology, so you can use only 1 dongle for DAv2 and BWv3 Mini, but be sure, that you have the newest firmware for it.
I have the same issue
I have exacly same issue, any suggestions?
Guys - more details please.

Do you have the newest firmware both on mouse & keyboard?
Hello!

I've started having the same issue today. I've been using Razer Deathadder v2 Pro for almost a year without any problems. Than, today, it started stuttering for a few minutes, than just stops responding at all. It works fine via USB cable and Bluetooth, but 2.4 wireless does not respond at all. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse 3, I've tried removing all drivers, and then reinstalling Synapse 3, I've tried changing USB ports and nothing works. It doesn't work in 2.4 wireless mode, nor it's being shown in Synapse when connected to 2.4 wireless. I only have one Razer peripheral, so, interference with other devices is not a case here (as it may be with the original poster).

Any help would be highly appreciated.

It doesn't matter if you have 1 Razer wireless peripheral.

As far as it's using 2.4GHz radio - it can be interferred by other 2.4GHz devices such as bluetooth devices (speakers, headsets, smartwatch etc) and also 2.4GHz WiFi devices.

Please try this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj - it clean up your from any Razer drivers. Before you'll use it, unplug the USB 2,4GHz dongle. You can also use CCleaner app to cleanup your Windows OS (especially registry). After cleanup reboot OS, and plug USB dongle again, check if it's visible in Windows Device Manager & Synapse (but this 1st one is more important).
Hello.

Thank you for your reply. I'll try it right now, but I just wanted to mention that I haven't changed any hardware recently, so, no new wireless or Bluetooth devices are present. It's the same setup as yesterday (and almost a year before that), but it stopped working today. I'll post my findings when I try the method above.

Hello!

I've tried to clean up Razer driver, but 2.4 wireless still doesn't work. You can find attachments of my Device manager after I've used clean up tool and before and after I've plugged USB dongle. I'm also attaching Device properties after I plugged in USB dongle.

Edit: I forgot to mention that mouse is not visible in Synapse when switched to 2.4 wireless.

Looking forward to your reply.

Any possibility to check 2.4GHz Hyperspeed dongle on other PC?

Any possibility to check 2.4GHz Hyperspeed dongle on other PC?

Hello!

First time I've tried connecting it to a laptop, it started with Synapse installation, but mouse didn't respond. I've decided that I don't want to install it (since I don't have any Razer peripherals on laptop). Than, later, I've connected it again, and it just worked (without Synapse installed). After using it for a while on laptop, I've returned it to my desktop PC, and it worked there too. It was after numerous reinstallation of drivers and Synapse (and restarts), but it wasn't working on the PC right before I disconnected it and moved to laptop. So, for the software part, nothing changed. I even returned it to the same USB port, and now it's working. I'll see if it will continue to work, but it is really strange.

Thank you for your help.

This maybe problem with USB port on the PC. Is it directly plugged into motherboard? Or via usb hub or port on PC case?
Hello!

I don't have USB hub. And I've tried connecting it to the back USB port (motherboard port) too, but it behaved the same. Also, first time connecting it to the laptop (to the side USB port, without any cables), it didn't work. Later that day, it started working on the same USB port on laptop. Right now, it's connected to the case USB (where it was connected for almost a year), and it is working. Really strange behavior. The only thing that comes to my mind, although unlikely, that someone in the neighborhood turned on some powerful radio waves that were jamming the signal.
