Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my findings so that nobody else has to spend evenings testing how to properly configure the Razer Naga Left-Handed Edition.

I use this mouse on several different PCs—some of which don't have Razer Synapse installed. This means I have to rely heavily on the onboard memory. However, saving to the onboard slots isn't always reliable, which is a huge pain. Since I rely on a left-handed setup for health reasons, getting this to work properly isn't just a preference—it’s essential for me to work fluently.

After a lot of trial and error, I found a workflow that actually makes the settings stick.

The Workaround:

  1. Install Synapse: Use the latest version.

  2. Direct Connection: Always plug the mouse directly into the PC (avoid KVM switches during setup).

  3. Reset (Optional): If you’re having weird issues, resetting the mouse within Synapse first has solved many problems for me.

  4. Define Profiles: Create or import your profile and map your keys.

    • Note 1: Some complex keyboard shortcut combos still need Synapse in the background. If you have issues, try simplifying the bind or using Macros saved within the mouse.!-->

    • Note 2 (Multi-Mouse Tip): If you use multiple Razer mice, give each profile and Macro a unique name. For example, "Win+TAB" for Mouse 1, and "Win+TAB2" for Mouse 2. In my experience, this prevents conflicts.

  5. Duplicate & Export: Duplicate your finished profile and export it as a backup.

  6. On-Board Memory: Move the duplicate profile into the on-board memory slot of the mouse.

  7. Cleanup: Delete all other profiles from the mouse's onboard slots.

  8. The Test: "Exit" Synapse completely (check Task Manager to be sure) and test if the keys still work.

  9. Loop: If it fails, start over. Once it sticks, it usually stays.

Important Hint for the current Synapse version: I noticed that in the current version, the scroll wheel tilt left/right inputs are swapped. You might need to map them inversely to get the result you actually want!

I hope this saves some of you some time and nerves. It's a great piece of hardware, even if the software can be a bit of a diva!
