my laptop is razer base 15 2020 model rz09-03287e22 serial by2035a92500341
one day about a year ago my laptop turn off, when i turned it back on the keyboard was not working.
ever since then ive google hundreds of websites, posts, threads, and nothing. my laptop has never fallen, never gotten water, nothing. i dusted off the insides, the fans, the keyboard, the touchpad.
the battery tho, was bloated. apart from that and the typical overheat of this model. no problems.
the keyboard is not detected by the device manager. there is no keyboard option in there. the backlite rgb still works, the usb ports still work but will not let another keyboard or mouse to work, not even letting power thru to them. i already reset it to factory default, the windows way and the razer way. nothing, problem persist. i did try the usb keyboard in other devices and it worked fine. just not in my laptop.
on device manager i see 2 sometimes 3 “unknown usb device (port reset failed)” i tried fixing those, and uninstalling, nothing. gave up for a few months cuz support says i dont qualify for free support, only paid or send in repairs.
but i just dont understand why it doesnt let me use an external keyboard. fine i get that maybe the built in one for some reason broke, i should still be able to connect another thru usb/bluetooth and use my laptop but it doeesnt, so it is most likely a corrupted file. but a corrupted file would off gotten fix on the factory reset, so idk what the hell is going on with my laptop. any help would be appreciated
