Synapse v3 any better than v4?

As i get used to Synapse v4 i began to hate it with my Tantarus v2.

Programming macros is quite complicated due the very inefficient interface, with far too much distraction towards other stuff un-needed for me.

Besides v4 seems quite buggy.

I tested a Blackwidow v4 (pro?) keyboard but sent it back since it had no right WIN key, but it's macro-ing software interface was easier.

So is Synapse v3 any better for the Tantarus v2?

Dunno if it’s better. Maybe less buggy - but it depends on the peripherals that you have.

Some newer devices are not compatible with the Synapse 3.

The macro creation of Razer is not the most intuitive.  However I found that once you understand it, it does become (slightly) easier.

Synapse 4 has, in my opinion, easier Macro creation.  Having said that I was able to re-create a Macro that I made in Synapse 4, as well as optimizing the Synapse 3 created one.

If you are recreating a set of key presses, then the macro generator creates two presses, one for down and the other for up.  Synapse 4 allows for a separate delay, while Synapse 3 has the delay as a function of the key press.

I had a Tartarus v2, until one of the keys stopped working, and I now have the Tartarus Pro.

Due to the numerous bugs, and issues with Synapse 4, I have “downgraded” to Synapse 3 and it now is working perfectly.

My Razer setup is as follows: Keyboard: Blackwidow Chroma V2, Keypad: Tartarus Pro, Mouse: Basilisk V3.

I hope this helps, and if you need any help with Synapse 3, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Best regards

Sleuth.

Hi, now sold my tartarus v2, and got a pro instead …..

seems working at least with Synapse 3, i use it for macros  mainly.

Now testing it with Synapse 4 on an other PC, and it seems to work OK,

and the interface seems more user friendly.

With both Synapses the distraction of all those useless gaming display options for both really piss me off ..

They should release a Synapse PRO simple version with an easy layout with right clickable options like save and load for professional use with stuff like Photoshop and video editing software.
