Razer Synapse 4

Hello,I have just installed Razer Synapse 4, I had the 3 before, and now it refuses to install the drivers for my devices, it downloads in a loop, any idea how to adjust it ? and if I stop the infinite download and it refuses to start again 

Hi everyone,My device: Razer Blade 18 (2024) – Intel i9-14900HX / RTX 4080 / Windows 11 Home I’m having an issue where Razer Synapse doesn’t start automatically with Windows, or if it does, it launches very late after the system boots. Until Synapse finally loads, my keyboard shows random lighting effects instead of my saved Chroma profile. Here’s what I’ve already tried (without success): Enabled “Start Razer Synapse on system startup” in the settings. Checked Task Manager → Startup tab (Synapse is enabled). Made a custom Task Scheduler entry to start Synapse at login (with and without delay). Set Synapse to run as administrator. Verified that Razer Synapse Service and Razer Central Service are set to “Automatic” and running. Reinstalled Synapse completely (including deleting leftover Razer folders from AppData and Program Files). Despite all this, Synapse still doesn’t appear in the system tray after boot, and the lighting only applies if I manually open the app. Is there any reliabl

So, I’m obviously not the first person to say this, which makes it even more infuriating, but Synapse 4 is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a software in my life. I don’t understand how a supposed “upgrade” to Synapse 3 is STILL a broken and buggy mess this long after it’s been launched, when Synapse 3 worked perfectly fine. If I could, I’d just stay with Synapse 3 indefinitely, but of course, Razer is forcing everyone to switch over within the next few months. I’ll just start with the main minor inconvenience I’ve dealt with: Synapse 4 takes absolutely forever to start up. So instead of seeing the custom profile that’s stored in my keyboards’ onboard memory, I see the generic ugly solid orange, green etc., until I fully log in and wait 10-15 seconds. This isn’t the end of the world, but definitely an annoyance, because with Synapse 3, it was pretty much instant and even started up when I was still on my computer’s log-in screen. I’m here simply to advocate for Linux support. I have 3 Razer devices, headphones, keyboard and mouse and they struggle to work with Linux. Us Linux users should not have to settle for third part software like OpenRazer. While I respect their work it should not be on them to have to make these tools. We paid money for our devices, we expect support on Linux.

With a lot of people moving from Windows to CachyOS and other Linux distributions, I am yet another person asking the question of Razer:When will you provide official support for Razer products and Synapse on Linux? 

Hi everyone,I’m posting this because I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with Razer Synapse 4 and the Razer Kraken V3 Pro. For almost a year, I have been dealing with an audio-related issue on my Kraken V3 Pro. After trying many possible fixes, I have found that the problem only happens when Razer Synapse is installed and running.When Synapse is removed or you disable audio signal enhancements ( video example, at the end ), the issue disappears. The main problem is that volume changes are delayed across the whole system.When I lower or increase the volume, the actual audio level does not change immediately. Instead, the volume change is applied after around 1–4 seconds.This happens when changing volume through:Windows volume slider Spotify volume slider Other app volume controlsThe audio itself is not delayed. Only the volume adjustment is delayed.This becomes very annoying and sometimes painful because when a notification plays or a new audio source star

This used to work fine, but for the past few weeks (probably following an update), Synapse now opens to the desktop after Windows starts.I’ve checked the setting in Synapse, and turned it off and back on.I’ve also checked the Run registry setting which appears to be correct."C:\Program Files\Razer\RazerAppEngine\RazerAppEngine.exe" --url-params=apps=synapse,chroma-app --launch-force-hidden=synapse,chroma-app --autoStart=1Generally, Synapse 4 has been more stable this year and having release notes at long last is a welcome improvement. Just a shame I now have this new bug.

razer synapse 4 i download it and press launch but the crosshair loads for 1 sec and nothing happen  i just got new razer mouse and i can use it because software problems (:

I am experiencing a critical issue with Razer Synapse 4 where the software completely refuses to write or apply any custom configurations, macros, or keyboard rebinds down to my wired Razer DeathAdder V3.When I assign a macro (e.g., an automated "E" key loop) or a basic keyboard function directly to Mouse Button 4, Synapse 4 visually displays the change as saved and linked on my monitor. I formatted my PC a few minutes ago and wanted to install Razer Synapse, but when I try to open it, I get an error (RazerSynapseInstaller.err). Inside the folder, it says (Failed to write installer file (Permission denied)).I’m running Windows 11 and have already disabled the firewall and antivirus, but it still isn’t working.I look forward to a reply.

I just cannot fight version 4 anymore, its absolute trash. Went back to 3 and will deal with any issues after Jan. 20th 2026 or just replace all my gear.

I was attempting to organize macros into folders and once I click on a folder within a folder the entire macro tab turns grey. It won’t properly show the macro tab again until I close is and reopen it. However, now I cannot see any of the macros I’ve placed into the folders.Before clicking the folder:Here is what it looks like after I click the folder:Please advise on how to fix.

at this point i try everything. just one week ago i bought my deathadder on amazon today im trying to turn on the dongle i did everything it just doesnt turn on, i didnt even know there was a led on it at this pint until i watch a video of how it works, updated firmware , try it on other pc, uninstalled synapse 2 times, erased on the device manager the mouse and it doesnt even popped on the pc yet , i swer i tried everything and i dont live in the usa so i cant turn it back easily i gotta pay for the turn back to what should i do

The latest Synapse update (I had one yesterday I think) disabled the automatic profile switch for some applications. The profiles do not switch automatically for Google Chrome or VSCode, but they do work for others like Visual Studio or some games.I tried everything that was suggested in some support threads regarding the faulty profiles switch (there are lots of them apparently, meaning Synapse is quite buggy).Razer, please debug the latest release or give me a link to an older version of Synapse 4.

Now can switch ANC on/off or ambient, but cannot adjust ANC level in Synapse 4 version 4.0.86.2601160905 and beta version 4.0.86.2511170410.Synapse 3 and Audio app are correctly. Since 02-Nov-2024, I reported this issue to Razer Support staff.By the way, last month (10-Dec-2025) Razer Support staff replied me that they tried to fixed.What are Razer doing?

Hello Razer team,As the title stated "Razer Chroma Visualizer not loading after Windows 11 starts". Here are the steps that I have taken in particular order.Uninstall Synapse 4 and Chroma software. Use a cleaner. Restarted/logged into Windows 11. Reinstalled Synapse 4 along with Chroma. Restarted/logged into Windows 11. Logged into the Razer app. Enabled Chroma Visualizer. Restarted/logged into Windows 11. Chroma does not start after Windows 11 login. Uninstalled Synapse 4 and Chroma. Use a cleaner. Restarted/logged into Windows 11. Installed Synapse 3 w/Chroma Sidenote/from my point of view. Synapse 3 sees Chroma as part of it's software and is able to launch decently after logging in. But Synapse 4 seems to treat Chroma as a separate software. Restarted/logged into Windows 11. Chroma works perfectly after logging into Windows 11.Only issue found, is that Synapse 3 does not seem to recognize Barracuda X Chroma is powered on.

I’ve been using Synapses since back in 2012 when it was 2 & used it all the way up to the point when it was no longer being supported & you had to use 3 or 4.one the features that 2 had was that if you had multiple programs open & you had a profile for each program, that as you clicked over to the other program, Synapse would recognise that you clicked over to a different program & automatically switch the profile over, it even displayed in green text in the lower right corner of your primary monitor the program it just switched over to. using 4, there doesn’t seem to be any such functionality or any setting to do that (or is there, i’m i’m just missing it?)It is getting old having to manually switch back & forth, every few minutes, if there is this setting, can someone please provide instructions on where this setting is… but if the function is currently not available in 4, can you dev’s please put it back?

1). I can't have mouse profiles on any of those open razer UI's, how to get there ?2) .. when you will support Linux customers as the first class citizens  ? .. or we should be paying for forever for our heresy to choose something better than Microsoft thing ?.

pls help, my installer doesnt even work, like it doesnt even install the app, everytime i click on the installer it just doesnt do anything

When I open chroma and try to customize it doesn’t work, when I select and try to click a color, it has prohibited/ no entry sign.

For a while now Razer Synapse 4 was working great and I had no issues with it but today I opened it and it started to crash over and over a few seconds after opening - at one point it looked like it was going to try to install an update but then it said installation failed and crashed. I tried restarting my laptop and also uninstalling synapse and going to the website to download the latest version of the installer and reinstalling it but this also failed. I am running on a razer blade 18 (2024) with rtx4090 and intel core i9 14900hx on windows 11 latest udate
