Hi, i am unable to disable auto-updates. In the old razer snypase, there was a setting for me to disable this, however, in this new razer synapse 4, I am unable to do so. When I open the settings, there is no option for me to disable auto updates. I have attached a screenshot below
I’m here simply to advocate for Linux support. I have 3 Razer devices, headphones, keyboard and mouse and they struggle to work with Linux. Us Linux users should not have to settle for third part software like OpenRazer. While I respect their work it should not be on them to have to make these tools. We paid money for our devices, we expect support on Linux.
I’m experiencing an issue with my BlackShark V3 Pro after performing a firmware update through Razer Synapse. After the update:The USB dongle no longer lights up The dongle is not detected by my PC There is no audio when using wireless modeHowever:The headset still works normally when connected via USB (wired mode)I have already tried the following:Using different USB ports Restarting my PC Reinstalling Razer Synapse Attempting to re-pair the headsetThe issue started immediately after the firmware update, and it seems the dongle may have failed during the process. What can I do?Thank you.
Now can switch ANC on/off or ambient, but cannot adjust ANC level in Synapse 4 version 4.0.86.2601160905 and beta version 4.0.86.2511170410.Synapse 3 and Audio app are correctly. Since 02-Nov-2024, I reported this issue to Razer Support staff.By the way, last month (10-Dec-2025) Razer Support staff replied me that they tried to fixed. What are Razer doing?
Hello. I constantly face an issue where "RazerAppEngine Window" process prevents my PC from shutting down normally. Sometimes an additional error window pops up during this. When will this be fixed? All of this happens on new PC with a clean Windows installation. It has been more than 1 year since first post about this, but bug is still not fixed.Existing threads discussing this issue:https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/razerappenginie-exe-is-preventing-shutdown-74690https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/razerappengine-exe-prevent-windows-shutdown-76967https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/please-fix-synapse-4-bug-causing-computer-shutdown-issues-68815 Additionally, while looking into this problem, I noticed extremely poor RAM optimization. The RazerAppEngine process takes 0.25 GB in background, grows to 1 GB if I open the app window, and stays at 0.5 GB after closing window. And this is not counting other Razer background processes. It feels like software optimization w
I installed Razer Synapse 4 and Cortex and have problems with my Logitech mouse and my HyperX Microphone and Headset! They just begin to connect and disconnect but my Razer Blackwidow V3 doesn't have any problems at all. I searched for days and found out that it must be the fault of one of the Razer software. I re-installed everything from scratch but the same problem still happens. I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?
I sometimes get stutters on my Razer Blade 16.They happen around twice a minute or so. Usually my laptop is fine most of the time. But once the stuttering starts, it usually does not stop until I have restarted the laptop. I noticed that the stutters only really happen when my game is in fullscreen exclusive mode. On fullscreen windowed they don’t usually happen, don’t want the increased latency that comes with that though…I tried so much, all kinds of driver upgrades and downgrades, bios updates etc. etc.Eventually I kind of gave up on it until I had an idea - what if I close Razer Synapse? Turns out that when I exit razer synapse during those stuttering episodes - the stutters go away…I tried both Razer Synapse 3 and 4 reinstalls and both of them have this issue. Is there an alternative? anything I can do? The fact that the software that is there to manage everything about my laptop causes it to stutter is just unbelievably stupid. Please tell me there is a fix?
With a lot of people moving from Windows to CachyOS and other Linux distributions, I am yet another person asking the question of Razer:When will you provide official support for Razer products and Synapse on Linux?
I just bought the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition. It’s a fantastic mouse, but I have a feature request that would elevate it to the next level for productivity tasks: a second Hypershift mapping layer. As it stands, we are limited to one Hypershift layout per profile. While application-specific profiles are helpful, they don't solve the issue of needing more easily accessible macros within a single heavy-duty program. One modifier layer is simply not enough for my daily workflow.Because the two side buttons on the left are so comfortable to reach, I would love the ability to assign them as two separate Hypershift triggers. This would allow me to have a "Standard Layout," "Hypershift 1," and "Hypershift 2"—giving me the power to remap left-click, right-click, scroll, and other buttons multiple times without ever taking my hand off the mouse or changing profiles.Implementing a secondary Hypershift layout would be a massive quality-of-life improvement for power users. Please consider
Given the BIG AMOUNT of problems that synapse 4 has, specially with my Tartarus pro, I mistankely trusted on the new version Synapse 4 and now I MUST return to synapse 3 to preserve my previous functionality, how can I return to that version? I cannot see a place to download synapse 3 installer for windows, any ideas?
I have a few macro keys set up with button combos that include the windows-key that, naturally, don’t work when the windows-key is disabled like it is when gaming mode is turned on, so I have made sure to keep gaming mode off even when I’m in game, but in spite of that the windows-key, and therefore the aforementioned macros still don’t work when I have a game loaded up. I’ve double checked that gaming mode is still disabled when I have a game running which it definitely is, I have Razer Synapse open on my second monitor and a game on my primary monitor and I see very clearly that gaming mode is off, both the toggle for the mode itself and the “Apply in-game only” box un-checked, but the windows-key and macros still don’t want to work when playing a game. Is there a way to fix this on my end or is it just a case of Razer having fucked up and I’ll have to pointlessly wait for them to do something about it?Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated!
I've already reinstalled it and even tried using Windows Task Scheduler, but the issue persists every time. Once I click that 'Not Responding' button and the Synapse app launches, it connects normally again. However, it's really cumbersome and inconvenient to have to manually do this every time. Is there any way to fix this
For many years in synapse 3 I had Excel linked to special profile. After migrating to synapse 4 few months ago I was unable to do so, so had to roll back to S3. Now, few weeks ago I tried S4 again and it worked this time. But today it stopped working. In the linked games tab excel was shown with comment "game not found". I deleted it from the list and tried to re-add it. For some reason when I choose Excel.exe with "brose" menu nothing happens, and it returns to the menu of linked games. That is very frustrating for me, since Excel profile is the most important function in synapse for me.
I recently had uninstalled razer synapse 4 and reverted to razer synapse 3 after hours of trying to troubleshoot issues with razer synapse 4 crashing over and over again but I decided to try to give it one more chance and for some reason I thought, what if I try continuing as guest when logging in? FOR SOME REASON, THIS SOLVES MY CRASH ISSUE. I tried logging in again and IMMEDIATELY the program crashes over and over again. I uninstall and reinstall and but log in this time to find that, sure enough, it still crashes on startup repeatedly. Uninstall and reinstall and continue as guest- NO CRASHES. So weird I don’t understand why this would be the case, maybe there is a bug with the profiles syncing or somehow my profiles got corrupted or something, I don’t know,… I also don’t know if this will solve the issue long term, and would like to be able to sync profiles or have access to my old profiles saved to my account, but for now at least it seems to work as a temporary fix for the crash
Ok, so this is probably a dumb question but how do I associate a Chromo Studio profile with a keyboard profile on my Blackwidow v4 Pro Keyboard in Synapse v4? I used to be able to do it really easily in Synapse v2 (I skipped v3). To be clear when I change to keyboard profile 1 I want to display only the QWERTY keys in green and everything else in blue. When I change to profile 2 I want it to display only the QWERTY keys in blue and everything else in green. Simple (and not real) example but I can’t make it work. I don’t want the change to be linked to a specific game, the only thing changing is the keyboard profile. I can make it work if I select quick effects in the lighting tab but when I select Advanced Effects it doesn’t save different choices under the Chroma Studio dropdown. I’m sure I am missing something obvious but for the life of me I can’t see what. Thanks in advance for any help you can give
Hello.I'd like to suggest a feature for Synapse 4 regarding the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz.I also own a Razer BlackShark V3 Pro headset. On the headset, the physical volume wheel controls both audio devices at the same time: Razer BlackShark V3 Pro - Game Razer BlackShark V3 Pro - Chat This works perfectly. However, on the Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard, the volume wheel only controls the Game (by default in the system) channel. The Chat channel is completely unaffected. This is inconsistent — both are Razer peripherals with volume wheels, but they behave differently. My request:Please add a "Game+Chat (sync)" mode for the Huntsman V3 Pro volume wheel in Synapse 4, so it can control both channels simultaneously, just like the BlackShark V3 Pro headset does. This would make volume control much more convenient and consistent across Razer devices. Thanks!
Hello,I have just installed Razer Synapse 4, I had the 3 before, and now it refuses to install the drivers for my devices, it downloads in a loop, any idea how to adjust it ? and if I stop the infinite download and it refuses to start again
Hi everyone,My device: Razer Blade 18 (2024) – Intel i9-14900HX / RTX 4080 / Windows 11 Home I’m having an issue where Razer Synapse doesn’t start automatically with Windows, or if it does, it launches very late after the system boots. Until Synapse finally loads, my keyboard shows random lighting effects instead of my saved Chroma profile. Here’s what I’ve already tried (without success): Enabled “Start Razer Synapse on system startup” in the settings. Checked Task Manager → Startup tab (Synapse is enabled). Made a custom Task Scheduler entry to start Synapse at login (with and without delay). Set Synapse to run as administrator. Verified that Razer Synapse Service and Razer Central Service are set to “Automatic” and running. Reinstalled Synapse completely (including deleting leftover Razer folders from AppData and Program Files). Despite all this, Synapse still doesn’t appear in the system tray after boot, and the lighting only applies if I manually open the app. Is there any reliabl
So, I’m obviously not the first person to say this, which makes it even more infuriating, but Synapse 4 is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a software in my life. I don’t understand how a supposed “upgrade” to Synapse 3 is STILL a broken and buggy mess this long after it’s been launched, when Synapse 3 worked perfectly fine. If I could, I’d just stay with Synapse 3 indefinitely, but of course, Razer is forcing everyone to switch over within the next few months. I’ll just start with the main minor inconvenience I’ve dealt with: Synapse 4 takes absolutely forever to start up. So instead of seeing the custom profile that’s stored in my keyboards’ onboard memory, I see the generic ugly solid orange, green etc., until I fully log in and wait 10-15 seconds. This isn’t the end of the world, but definitely an annoyance, because with Synapse 3, it was pretty much instant and even started up when I was still on my computer’s log-in screen. What is even the point of having the onboard memo

Hi everyone,I’m posting this because I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with Razer Synapse 4 and the Razer Kraken V3 Pro. For almost a year, I have been dealing with an audio-related issue on my Kraken V3 Pro. After trying many possible fixes, I have found that the problem only happens when Razer Synapse is installed and running. When Synapse is removed or you disable audio signal enhancements ( video example, at the end ), the issue disappears. The main problem is that volume changes are delayed across the whole system. When I lower or increase the volume, the actual audio level does not change immediately. Instead, the volume change is applied after around 1–4 seconds. This happens when changing volume through:Windows volume slider Spotify volume slider Other app volume controlsThe audio itself is not delayed. Only the volume adjustment is delayed. This becomes very annoying and sometimes painful because when a notification plays or a new audio source star
This used to work fine, but for the past few weeks (probably following an update), Synapse now opens to the desktop after Windows starts.I’ve checked the setting in Synapse, and turned it off and back on.I’ve also checked the Run registry setting which appears to be correct."C:\Program Files\Razer\RazerAppEngine\RazerAppEngine.exe" --url-params=apps=synapse,chroma-app --launch-force-hidden=synapse,chroma-app --autoStart=1Generally, Synapse 4 has been more stable this year and having release notes at long last is a welcome improvement. Just a shame I now have this new bug.
razer synapse 4 i download it and press launch but the crosshair loads for 1 sec and nothing happen i just got new razer mouse and i can use it because software problems (:
I have made some screen-shots to make it easier to explain to me, because I have no idea what to do.
I am experiencing a critical issue with Razer Synapse 4 where the software completely refuses to write or apply any custom configurations, macros, or keyboard rebinds down to my wired Razer DeathAdder V3.When I assign a macro (e.g., an automated "E" key loop) or a basic keyboard function directly to Mouse Button 4, Synapse 4 visually displays the change as saved and linked on my monitor. However, the physical hardware continues to act strictly as standard Mouse Button 4, ignoring the profile. Here is everything I have checked and done to isolate the issue:Verified that the Macro module is fully installed and up to date under the Synapse 4 "Devices & Modules" management dashboard. Checked active Windows background processes: RzActionSvc (Razer Central Service) and companion engine assets are running normally. Cleared local app configurations by deleting both the %localappdata%\Razer and %appdata%\Razer temporary profile cache folders to resolve any corrupted migration states. Execute
