I have a Razer Tartarus V2 and I have been using the keymapping feature of Razer Synapse for quite some time now. However due to the recent updates to Synapse 4, it no longer works. I am given the message “mappings require razer synapse” and hence no longer works.Edit: Upon further tinkering, it seems as if its just the D-Pad that just doesn’t work anymore?
How exactly is this helpful???This looks terrible. Yes I know the keybind requires Synapse, I’m ALREADY IN SYNAPSE. If it ain’t broke… DON’T FIX IT
Synapse 4 will not save profiles to the Joro onboard memory via USB or 2.4G. Opening Synapse 4 will:reset any profile customisations made directly on the keyboard via FN+Ctrl shortcuts when running on 2.4Ghz, stop multimedia keys (regardless if you hold FN or not) from working until you toggle the “Function Key Primary” setting, or close synpase
Device: Razer Blade 16 (2026)Software: Synapse 4Issue summaryActivating or switching any Blade device profile in Synapse 4 forces the laptop's actual performance state to Performance Mode, even when the target profile is explicitly configured for Balanced Mode. This is not only a UI display problem: CPU package power, GPU TGP and fan behavior all change to the Performance state. The trigger is profile activation itself. Linked Games makes the issue easier to notice because launching or focusing a linked game activates its profile, but Linked Games is not the root cause. The same behavior occurs when switching profiles manually in the Synapse UI.Minimal reproduction1. Set the Blade to Balanced Mode manually.2. Verify that CPU package power, GPU TGP and fan behavior match Balanced Mode.3. In Synapse 4, switch to another Blade profile.4. Ensure that the target profile is also saved as Balanced.5. After the profile is applied, observe that the machine is actually running in Performance Mode
Hi everyone,I've been experiencing multiple serious issues with my Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed running Synapse 4 on Windows 11. I've already had the headset replaced once – the problems are identical on the new unit, which confirms this is a software/firmware issue, not a hardware defect. 1. Dongle not recognized on startupWhen I turn on the headset, it is frequently not detected by Synapse or Windows. I have to physically unplug and replug the HyperSpeed dongle to get it recognized. This happens consistently and is reproducible.2. Volume extremely low until a profile is selectedEvery time I power on the headset, audio is barely audible until I manually switch to or re-select a profile in Synapse 4. Only then does the correct volume apply. This happens on every startup.3. Microphone randomly stops workingThe microphone frequently fails to pick up audio. When it does work, the sidetone ("Abhören" / mic monitoring) feature does not function at all. Toggling it in Synapse has no effect
Hello everyone and Razer Dev Team,I am writing to report a severe, easily replicable architectural bug in Razer Synapse 4 that completely paralyzes the Chroma SDK / Chroma Apps integration across the entire system.Important Bug Timeline (Crucial for the Dev Team):I was away from my PC from August 3rd to August 24th. On August 3rd, the Chroma API integration worked flawlessly with all built-in game profiles (including Divinity: Original Sin 2, where lighting responded to every game event perfectly). When I returned on August 24th and Synapse installed the major "Immersive Update" (which rolled out around August 5-6), the entire Chroma Apps layer broke instantly due to the connected Razer Bulbs. The issue is 100% tied to that specific software build change. My Hardware Setup:Peripherals: Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, DeathStalker V2 Pro, Mouse Dock Pro. Chroma Connect Integration: Yeelight monitor light bar, Asus motherboard (via Chroma Control plugin), and 2x Razer Aether Light Bulbs (US-market
I was using my Tartarus V2 just fine. I was trying to get some new keybinds going to play Stalker. After being away from the PC for a while, I wanted to play Tarkov, but my keybinds stopped working. I looked at Synapse, but Synapse is telling me that Synapse needs to run in order for the keybinds to work . . . . . IT IS RUNNING. WTF am I'm supposed to do I play almost every serious game with the V2. I tried reinstalling. I tried everything I could imagine, but I can't get it to work anymore. I need help ASAP, please
I’m here simply to advocate for Linux support. I have 3 Razer devices, headphones, keyboard and mouse and they struggle to work with Linux. Us Linux users should not have to settle for third part software like OpenRazer. While I respect their work it should not be on them to have to make these tools. We paid money for our devices, we expect support on Linux.
Hello all, After recently upgrading to Razer Synapse 4, I noticed that the audio quality of my Razer Kraken Ultimate headset has been completely ruined. The audio levels get to an abnormally high level to the point where the audio crackles and cuts out to a really quiet level before quickly raising its own volume and repeating the process. Raising or lowering Windows volume has no effect, the volume stays constant. After some digging, I discovered that the “Device Default Effects” setting in Windows Audio Settings were the culprit. However, by turning the effects off, it completely disables all the features that Synapse offers (I personally use a custom EQ for my headset, turning this off disables the EQ). I tried going back to Synapse 3 to see if it fixed the issue. The issue was temporarily fixed until I opened a game. My volume became abnormally loud and everything started crackling and cutting out. Does anyone know what is truly happening or have a fix for this? Or is this a prob
I’ve been using Razer Synapse on my Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed for years with a custom EQ. Upon moving to Razer Synapse 4, I reapplied my Custom EQ settings and was enjoying it for a couple of months with the same exact quality of sound. Yesterday, suddenly, the audio sounds completely different. The equalizer (within synapse 4) is working, and even the custom EQ is exactly the same as it always has been. I am always connected via USB, and nothing changed from yesterday to today. (Bluetooth is always disabled on my computer, and still is). The audio is quieter (~75% quieter), and I can no longer hear certain things in the FPS game I play. (Like footsteps, or quieter sounds.) I have never used the ‘enhancements’ tab, but just in case I tried toggling all of the settings and I know for sure none of those have ever been enabled, as it sounds nothing like it used to. Is there a reason that this may have happened? Thank you in advance!
Hello. I constantly face an issue where "RazerAppEngine Window" process prevents my PC from shutting down normally. Sometimes an additional error window pops up during this. When will this be fixed? All of this happens on new PC with a clean Windows installation. It has been more than 1 year since first post about this, but bug is still not fixed.Existing threads discussing this issue:https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/razerappenginie-exe-is-preventing-shutdown-74690https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/razerappengine-exe-prevent-windows-shutdown-76967https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/please-fix-synapse-4-bug-causing-computer-shutdown-issues-68815 Additionally, while looking into this problem, I noticed extremely poor RAM optimization. The RazerAppEngine process takes 0.25 GB in background, grows to 1 GB if I open the app window, and stays at 0.5 GB after closing window. And this is not counting other Razer background processes. It feels like software optimization w

I’m experiencing an issue with my BlackShark V3 Pro after performing a firmware update through Razer Synapse. After the update:The USB dongle no longer lights up The dongle is not detected by my PC There is no audio when using wireless modeHowever:The headset still works normally when connected via USB (wired mode)I have already tried the following:Using different USB ports Restarting my PC Reinstalling Razer Synapse Attempting to re-pair the headsetThe issue started immediately after the firmware update, and it seems the dongle may have failed during the process. What can I do?Thank you.
Since switching to Synapse 4 I don’t get the low battery notification displayed anymore. All I get is the voice telling me “low battery” but not the percentage. Is it possibel to either the voice telling me how much is left or display the message on the bottom right of my screen again?
For a while now Razer Synapse 4 was working great and I had no issues with it but today I opened it and it started to crash over and over a few seconds after opening - at one point it looked like it was going to try to install an update but then it said installation failed and crashed. I tried restarting my laptop and also uninstalling synapse and going to the website to download the latest version of the installer and reinstalling it but this also failed. I am running on a razer blade 18 (2024) with rtx4090 and intel core i9 14900hx on windows 11 latest udate
Hello all, Since using synapse 4 I've got some troubles with my profiles for minecraft Java. Normaly I add the Java file in my games and it works. But with synapse 4 it delete it from the game list after every boot of minecraft and when it doesn't delete it it put it graued out saying it doesn't find it. Is there another way or do I have to roll back to synapse 3? Thanks in advance
Hi,I am using a Viper V3 Hyperspeed and Synapse 4. On-the-fly sensitivity function does not work correctly. It works correctly only in Synapse 3.I assign it to a side button (i.e. button 4 on the side) and then hold down that button. When I move the mouse wheel up or down, DPI status appears in the bottom right but:The bar is not visible and does not respond to mouse wheel up or down Mouse sensitivity is instantly changed to 30,000 and stays there regardless The Sensitivity DPI box shows blank even though it is at 30k This is extremely frustrating as on-the-fly sensitivity is important for FPS games. Any fixes on the horizon? Mouse firmware has also been updated to the latest version.
With a lot of people moving from Windows to CachyOS and other Linux distributions, I am yet another person asking the question of Razer:When will you provide official support for Razer products and Synapse on Linux?
Aside from the profile not automatically switching, even manually setting the profile as default results in it not working in the game. It keep using the default one.Anybody else experiencing this? Problems started appearing after following instructions to uninstall Synapse in regards to another issue. Double checked settings. Even did the trick of installing Chroma app to disable the apps.
Hello,I would like to report what appears to be a regression in Razer Synapse 4 regarding macro execution speed, compared to Synapse 3.I am using onboard memory profiles with macros created previously in Synapse 3.When Synapse 4 is completely closed, the macros execute instantly with no noticeable delay, exactly as configured (0 ms delay). However, as soon as Synapse 4 is running, a significant delay appears between macro actions - even when the macro itself is set to 0 ms delay.I have prepared two videos that clearly demonstrate this difference in macro execution speed:• Synapse 3 (fast / no delay): https://youtu.be/NsiYelsQUrk• Synapse 4 (noticeable delay): https://youtu.be/9Bn-Bn-WMZkIn both videos, the same macro profile was used; the only difference is whether Synapse 4 was running or not. The behavior suggests that Synapse 4 intercepts or throttles hardware macros, inserting a forced minimum delay. This was not present in Synapse 3, and represents a performance downgrade that affe

So, I’m obviously not the first person to say this, which makes it even more infuriating, but Synapse 4 is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a software in my life. I don’t understand how a supposed “upgrade” to Synapse 3 is STILL a broken and buggy mess this long after it’s been launched, when Synapse 3 worked perfectly fine. If I could, I’d just stay with Synapse 3 indefinitely, but of course, Razer is forcing everyone to switch over within the next few months. I’ll just start with the main minor inconvenience I’ve dealt with: Synapse 4 takes absolutely forever to start up. So instead of seeing the custom profile that’s stored in my keyboards’ onboard memory, I see the generic ugly solid orange, green etc., until I fully log in and wait 10-15 seconds. This isn’t the end of the world, but definitely an annoyance, because with Synapse 3, it was pretty much instant and even started up when I was still on my computer’s log-in screen. What is even the point of having the onboard memo
Hi everyone,A few weeks ago (I believe right after a Windows update), I started noticing brief mouse "stutters" during the first minutes after startup — it would happen once or twice, then stop, with no crash. I had never experienced this before.A few days ago, this escalated: the mouse stuttered, then both my monitors went completely black and the system became fully unresponsive — mouse frozen, no input at all. I had to force a shutdown via the power button.I checked Event Viewer afterward and found a Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (Critical) with BugcheckCode 0, meaning no clean BSOD or crash dump was written — just a full hard freeze. I also ran a complete hardware diagnostic (UserDiag) right after: 0 WHEA errors, 0 incidents, everything nominal on temps/voltages/components. So the hardware looks completely healthy.I'm on Windows 11 25H2, using a Razer DeathAdder with Synapse. I just did a full clean uninstall/reinstall of Synapse (using the official CleanupRazerDrivers tool) to see if i
I was using synapse 3, although it can’t open for long time, the profile still works. Then i upgrade it to synapse 4, the profile not work.Is there any way to reinstall working synapse 3 to export the profile or get the synapse 3 cloud backup profile?I cant find a working synapse 3 installer, and the one i have says cant connect to server :(
Hi everyone,I’m posting this because I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with Razer Synapse 4 and the Razer Kraken V3 Pro. For almost a year, I have been dealing with an audio-related issue on my Kraken V3 Pro. After trying many possible fixes, I have found that the problem only happens when Razer Synapse is installed and running. When Synapse is removed or you disable audio signal enhancements ( video example, at the end ), the issue disappears. The main problem is that volume changes are delayed across the whole system. When I lower or increase the volume, the actual audio level does not change immediately. Instead, the volume change is applied after around 1–4 seconds. This happens when changing volume through:Windows volume slider Spotify volume slider Other app volume controlsThe audio itself is not delayed. Only the volume adjustment is delayed. This becomes very annoying and sometimes painful because when a notification plays or a new audio source star
