GameDog [v5.0] - Chroma for CS:GO and DOTA2

I have Blackwidow Chroma and when I launch gamedog the led freeze. As I said i unistalled synapse and SDK as someone wrote here but nothing work...

I have exactly the same problem in Dota and CSGO. After X amount of time the Chroma deathadder just stops working as if unplugged. I have to physically unplug and reinsert it (or reboot) to get it working again. I will try disabling data tracking and let you know how I get on.

Will it be ever available for blackwidow ultimate? :rolleyes:

Hello, I'm having an issue with Razer Deathstalker Chroma - it is not lighting up keys according to Dota gamedog integration. I get the green startup "wave" animation, and also when I start a bot game I get the background color for the team I'm on (red/green for dire/radiant). But no other colors seem to be working, not cooldown, health, time or anything other than team background. What could be the problem? Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SDK + synapse, as well as trying "Fallback server". Also, I've checked the gamedog logfile and it gives no error. Also, a gamestate_integration_gamedog.cfg has been created.

Anyone have any idea why the active weapon clip assignment in CS:GO is a bit slow?

i just started using blackwidow chroma and still not really familiar with some things. Downloaded the program and tested it with csGO but some effects like flashbang or smoke or molotov doesnt pop out. another example is that the chat or menu colour also not working. tried redownload but still the same. help please.

how can we know if there is a new update or does it automatically update?

Hi, im a little late, but once I open CSGO with Gamedog in the background, i only get static colors on the WASD keys and the ESC key, with every other key being static. Nothing seems to change color for any event. How to I fix this?

Actually GameDog isn't "outdated". The last update was about a month ago and there is no bug in GameDog that I had to fix. I'm still working on GameDog (except for the last 1-2 weeks where I hadn't enough spare time). BUT: I just released a Workaround for the slow update issue. The main problem is coming from Valve directly. They broke their API in one of the last updates and only send heartbeat updates and no updates when an actual change was detected. The Workaround now "forces" an update as fast as possible and could result in some performance drops until Valve fixes their API. Just start GameDog and there will be an update available. Or download the new version HERE

Take a look here if some of this fix your problem: https://gitlab.com/Chromatin/GameDog#-gamedog-does-not-change-to-yellow-once-started If that doesn't fix try uninstalling synapse AND the Chroma SDK then reinstall Synapse.

Though if you tried the reloading in CS GO, your lights won't interact, unless you get killed, kill someone, or you switch prospective, dunno if you understand, I even re install synapse and same for the sdk.

Did you use the last version I just published? The not reacting lights are a Valve bug I added a workaround for today :-)

Hahaha, i didn't see because the reply i did was on my phone and i didnt know you update it! And good job! I love it! 3 or 5 days ago i bought the chroma, and i thought my keyboard was defective but i guess this update fix everything! Nice job again!

I apologize if this has been asked already. Can you make it so you can click the X or - to minimize to tray? With an option in the settings for "Click X to close the application. [Yes] No"

Hi. I'm not quiet sure what you mean, but if you minimize it, it already will minimize to tray (might be hidden behind the UP arrow in the tray but it will still be running). If you close it with the X it will close.

Not entirely sure how to explain what I mean. So, some programs, like Skype, you can click the - or x window options in the top right and they will both minimize to tray. Then, in that programs settings, you have the option to set the x to close, or to minimize. So, using Skype as an example, I click x and the application minimizes to the system tray. Now I go in to the settings, and say I want Skype to close when I hit x, and save my settings. Now when I hit x, it closes the application, instead of minimizing to system tray. I hope that helps. Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but when I tried to update the application with the pop-up it produces, it wouldn't install. It would just take me to what seemed like the Windows Installer help section. I'm on Windows 10 btw. I simply went to this thread and downloaded the update and ran it and it worked beautifully.

So you want GameDog to minimize to tray when clicking the X (to prevent accidential closing for example)? I think I will add that in one of the next versions as an option :-) For the Update: I've a clean Windows 10 (64bit) installation and update works well there and I tried it on different computers aswell. Can you press Windows + R and type "msiexec /?" it should open that help section you mentioned. Can you paste the content in a [ SPOILER] tag here? (Rightclick -> Select All, Rightclick -> Copy) So I can take a look at the version of the Windows Installer and the properties it is expecting.

Have you started it at least once? It should be available in the Startmenu.

Yes I started gamedog and synapse but nothing is showing up.

That's weird. Can you try other Chroma Apps like the Audio Visualizer or Snake for Chroma to see if they work?
