The issue is that the HDK unit seems to think there are 4 strips connected to it, when only 2 are, even if i unplug all of them it still shows as 4 strips, ive uninstalled/reinstalled synapse 2 and 3, 4 separate times now, each with a reboot after uninstall, before installation of next. ive unplugged the unit, rebooted plugged back in, tried changed numerous different plug combos for the strips, ive tried with/without the 5V power plug, ive tried every USB socket on my motherboard, including a wallplate USB behind my PC.

heck ive even booted into my dual boot linux install, and that wont even seem to get it lighted.....so im out of options i guess.....

i was simply moving my led strips from my case to the back of my monitor this morning, and i guess i killed the unit? i just gently pulled it off of the place it was mounted, and put it on the back of my monitor.....
