Razer Chroma and Govee Lights

I’m really confused about how to integrate these two.  I imagine virtually all gamers have their pc’s connected to the internet through either an ethernet cable or on a 5g wifi network.  Playing games requires fast speeds.

So recently I got some Govee lights and was intrigued that I could control them through Razer Chroma.  While setting them up, I saw that both the lights and pc need to be on the same network.  Well the lights will only connect to 2.4 g and with the pc running on either the 5g band or ethernet, it seems there’s no way to make this work.

This seems pointless to me as I assume everyone would be in the same predicament with not being able to control their lights through the pc app.  Is there a workaround for this or am I overlooking something?  Because I feel like the app is just a big waste if it can’t be used by a normal gaming setup.  What am I missing?

Hey scorpion42sting, I believe you are overthinking this haha. Regardless of how your devices are all connected to your LAN, be it 2.4g, 5g, or hardwired, they are all going to be connected to the same network. I have a desktop connected through a CAT8 cable, a laptop connected through 5g, and obviously all my Govee devices on 2.4ghz because the refuse to adapt to an almost outdated 5ghz. And I can control all these devices from either computer. It can be kind of a pain to setup the first time, but as long as you have the Govee Desktop app linked to your Govee mobile account, and Razer Synapse and Chroma installed, it should be a few clicks and you can start creating. LMK if you have any questions thou!
