THE SAME happened to me once. Uninstall all of Synapse, make sure there is nothing left using some software like Iobit Uninstaller. Restart the PC, install Synapse with your Razer devices disconnected. Once Synapse is installed completely, install your Razer devices and Synapse will download their respective drivers and should download the Chroma SDK correctly now. Now, you should be able to see the switch once again.
Thanks Franubis.. I'll give it a shot.. now that I think about it.. I did have a G510 Logitech and Roccat Kone XTD installed when I bought the Razer gear. I bet I hot swapped them as I do remember the software installing automatically. Fingers crossed! =D

Sadly no go.. I'm beginning to wonder if something happened to the hardware? But then that doesnt make sense as the normal Snyapse themes work fine? I installed with an alt keyboard and mouse.. razer hardware removed.. full wipe and scan with lobit. I did both a manual latest version install and automatic download install from the hardware. During the manual install no razer hardware showed up in Synapse even after a reboot. It's just bizzare it was all working and now it refuses to see the visualizer. I guess I'll try a fresh install of Windows 7 pro sp1 vs. ultimate and see what happens. The OS type was all I changed.. but then it stopped working when it was 7 Pro. =/ It was so cool when it worked. I like the Corsair setup as well.. but liked the firefly matching light show. With devices unplugged I got this after I plugged them in and did a reboot.

You get that after you plug in your devices? That should appear when nothing has been connected, after plugging some Razer hardware, an update for Razer Synapse should immediately pop up. This "update" will download the drivers for the devices and display them in Synapse.

Yes.. it came up like that after I scrubbed the system and plugged in my Razer devices.. it used generic drivers vs. what you would think it would grab during hardware discovery from the Synapse update. The second time I removed and installed (using IObit) the devices came up with proper drivers clean.. but still no Chroma App? As you can see the 1.09 visualizer build is running fine, I just don't get any reaction from my Chroma gear. Again it's like its the visualizer and gear aren't talking. I don't mind wiping my system again.. but it's annoying as it "was" working before and simply stopped. =D I won't give up though... I'll be back in 20.. running Windows 7 Pro SP1 this time.

As CalcProgrammer1 provided in page 27, he gave this link for the download of the Visualizer v.1.0.9: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Fq0HEJolPtdGVKbGoxNExhaXM/view?usp=sharing
Well crap.. same thing under Windows 7 Pro.. no communication with the ON/OFF in Synapse Chroma APPS so it likely wont be able to run if I've read things right? @CalcProgrammer1 help.. this makes no sense. Was working and then stopped. Fresh install Windows 7 Pro following final instructions using Synapse to load the SDK's etc running v.1.0.9. (I mean could it be hardware failure?) I guess the application looks at the default input device for its audio source. Well I don't think they are speaking terms. =/

Sorry for the delay on the response. I am 90% certain it is not a Hardware failure in anyway, mainly because you have different devices from what I've seen (Firefly, some mouse and a keyboard) and neither of them is able to have Chroma Apps enabled, right? The chances of more than 1 device failing at the same time is zero. And since the KV1.09 picks up the sound correctly, I would bet that the problem is within Synapse. But how come doing a clean install of both OS and drivers hasn't fixed it is beyond me... have you tried with other Chroma Apps? Like Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or Dub Wars or many other apps or games? Maybe Synapse is just not recognizing KV itself, even if it tries to send the data to Synapse. Also, go to Synapse > Settings icon in the top right corner > Settings > Look for Updates. Dunno, may be just some dumb error in the software.

My Synapse was just showing the same as yours, no switch, but as soon as I opened 1.09 the switch appeared and it worked. No idea what's up with yours.

Yeah, the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma works with it, using it as we speak. Regarding the issue others are having, I don't know how to help... how did you install it, Synoyd?

Success! =D Believe it or not I think it was NET Framework 4.6 screwing with things.. and if it wasn't it's simply Synapse being finicky about its install dependencies and the order you apply them. The steps I listed below worked three times after rebuilding my rig with various versions of Windows 7 and a myriad of Synapse installs and removals. How I got CHROMA APPS OFF/ON and KV 1.09 working. A freaking hassle.. but worth it! I replicated this process on another Windows 7 Pro x64 box with success three times. Thank you CalcProgrammer1 for making KeyboardVisualizer! Thank you Razer for the cool Chroma gear but man Synapse is going to be a bear with apps if the dependencies are so chaotic. Regardless the Razer Chroma gear and the KV application was the missing touch I needed for my gaming rig. A big lanparty I'm going to had me determined to get KV working again. =D Here's a couple screenshots of my SLI rig in RGB madness. The command line config is blue/green and matches the RGB lights and fans I've installed on a case I've modded for water-cooling. (a work in progress). I have a full nickel plexi water blocks by Bitspower and Monsoon hardline and fittings ready to install. (I'm sorta liking the case clean with the green/blue/black/white..(my GF thinks the water-cooling would look amazing.) I'm never really above 40C as is unless I'm running Evolve cranked. =D Awesome program! Thank you for the suggestions and work Franubis!

No prob, but the app belongs to CalcProgrammer1, I just like to throw suggestions at other fellow users as why things may not work (and, of course, according to Murphy, it tends to be the weirdest of reasons, see IT). But yeah, glad it worked! I hope the others having this similar problem can have this solve it.

I'm still a noobie when it comes to programming, but I wanted to create a smooth Purple-to-Red gradient.
if (val > 96.66666666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 0; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 93.3333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 17; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 90) { red = 34; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 86.6666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 51; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 83.33333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 68; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 80) { red = 85; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 76.6666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 102; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 73.33333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 119; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 70) { red = 136; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 66.6666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 153; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 63.3333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 170; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 60) { red = 187; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 56.6666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 204; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 53.3333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 221; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 50) { red = 238; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 46.66666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 255; } else if (val > 43.33333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 238; } else if (val > 40) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 221; } else if (val > 36.666666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 204; } else if (val > 33.333333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 187; } else if (val > 30) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 170; } else if (val > 26.666666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 153; } else if (val > 23.333333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 130; } else if (val > 20) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 115; } else if (val > 16.6666666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 90; } else if (val > 13.333333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 70; } else if (val > 10) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 50; } else if (val > 6.66666666666666666666666666666666666666) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 30; } else if (val > 3.333333333333333333333333333333333333333) { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 17; } else { red = 255; grn = 0; blu = 0; } break;
I compiled and replaced the Rainbow foreground settings by it, just to try it out. And I dunno, just felt like sharing the idea of smoother gradients if people dig it. :V

THIS is the reason I wanted a Chroma Keyboard to begin with.. I Guarantee, if you install this on your machine, you'll be dazzled by it. And your friends will want a Chroma keyboard, even if they pretend they don't. Awesome isn't good enough for this-- Incredible comes close.
