Version 3.00 is out! New features include more effect modes, reactive (flashing to music, like single color mode) background toggle, audio device selector (both loopback and input devices), improved network synchronization if you set it up to sync between two PCs, and a Linux version (uses third party Razer drivers, as there's no official SDK, plus you have to build the Linux version yourself with QTCreator at the moment as I don't yet know how to create my own packages).

I just want to say thank you so much for this, I really enjoy my keyboard especially with this upgrade. I added the program to the startup files on my computer so that it is always on!!

Just a quick shout out for making a great alternative to Synapse's lighting options, looks fantaistic on my Blackwidow X TE, Deathadder Elite, Firefly, Kraken Pro v2 setup with the color wheel background and white foreground with single colors set to match the background.

Having a slight issue with the lighting on my keyboard turning off and on for a split second when there's no sound playing, I've tried increasing the delay slightly as well as closing Synapse and nether didn't seem to make a difference, any ideas?

The Kaby Lake Blade Stealth isn't supported because there's no unique identifier for it in the SDK. I've informed Razer of the issue but they haven't released an SDK fix for it yet.

Just a quick shout out for making a great alternative to Synapse's lighting options, looks fantaistic on my Blackwidow X TE, Deathadder Elite, Firefly, Kraken Pro v2 setup with the color wheel background and white foreground with single colors set to match the background.

If you use Reactive Background mode, it will fade the background in after a few seconds of silence. If that isn't what you're experiencing, then it's something to do with your Synapse/drivers/etc.

I'm currently not using Reactive Background mode.

I went ahead and and fully uninstalled Synapse and it's drivers (Deleted user Folders/cleaning windows folder out, etc)and reinstalled everything, it was on my list anyways since I just replaced my mouse and keyboard. I'll keep an eye on it but for the time being it seems like it's stopped having that issue though if I find a reliable way to reproduce the problem I'll let you know, it was literally shutting off and turning back on all of leds for a fraction of a second while idling at seeming random times. I've also attached a screenshot of my settings, though a lot of them are default.

Synapse/SDK issue. Try doing a full uninstall of Synapse, reboot, download new version of Synapse from Razer's site, full reinstall, reboot, and run any updates it asks for. That should make sure you have support for all your devices installed properly.

hey, i have tried to reinstall the synapse and all the things that you guys have instructed me to do. and i was able to open the program. but nothing happened on my firefly. and there is also one thing that i don't understnad. wdym by reboot ?

Dang nabbit.
Had it working with my Mamba TE and Ornata Chroma yesterday, and after resetting my computer due to a colossal muck up I made, it now only works with my mouse and just causes my Ornata to freeze. Will there be any complete compatibility with the Ornata any time soon?

Reinstalled my PC (upgraded a few parts) and tried putting this back on. I installed everything as supposed to but the issue for me is that I can't properly see my list of audio devices as well as that nothing lights up for me besides my mouse and the razer logo on the bottom of my keyboard.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? 😛

Check if your Audio Visualizer is up to date. https://github.com/CalcProgrammer1/KeyboardVisualizer is the website that has the latest update for the visualizer.

Changing background mode works fine but I don't seem to get any audio reactive lighting. The background is the only thing that works.

If your audio output on the right selection? I know it was like this for me but it was because my audio device was Razer audio Sound Controller, Not my headset. Try to fix it to what your listening with or what the audio is going to, and it should work.

i got a question though, so it says keyboard visualizer. but i only have a firefly. will it work still?

Well.. It's working for my headset but not for my speakers, which is mainly where I want to use it with.

EDIT: it seems to work when I choose my STEREO MIX (which is basically a loopback) but not when I select my speakers. What can I do to fix it with my speakers..?

Some people have had issues with the new audio selection in 3.00/3.01. It seems some devices don't seem to work right in loopback mode when selected from the menu. Try going back to version 2.01 and see if that version works. In the next release I'm going to add Default Loopback Device as the first option in the audio device drop-down which will be whatever your default output device is (same functionality as the earlier versions). Also, before you give up, turn up Amplitude to a really large value (1000, 10000, 50000, etc.) and see if you can see reactivity. Some inputs are quieter than others and need amplification. I don't know why this is, but it is. On my MSI laptop I have to set it to like 15000 for the headphone output. I think bit depth may have something to do with it.

As for if you only have a Firefly? Yes, it will work with any of the supported devices by themselves or in combination with any other of the supported devices. Any combination will work.

As for laptops? Blade and Blade Stealth (Skylake) are supported. Blade Stealth Kaby Lake is not, because the Chroma SDK's identifier for BLADE_STEALTH does not seem to work with that model and they haven't added any other identifier for it either. Using the generic keyboard effect would work for it but that breaks being able to scale the effect differently per keyboard, so I'm waiting for a proper fix.

Ornata has been supported since 1.18 or so. If it's not working you probably need to update Keyboard Visualizer.

well, there's only one problem, its not like the video, the lightning doesn't have different heights and it's turned to the right, not upside like the video (sorry for bad english, i'm portuguese) to help you understand it:

That's the way the Deathstalker works. It only has 3 lighting zones, not individual lit keys,making it impossible to do the normal audiovisualizer design.

it doesnt work on the razer elite and the blackwiddow chroma x I cant get it running doesnt matter if I close synapse or not.. I restarted my pc many times and nothing works the lights still switching on my keyboard and dont react to music.. idk what the problem is.. I also reinstalled the vc_redist thing.. doesnt work

Go download the latest version from https://github.com/CalcProgrammer1/KeyboardVisualizer (click on Release folder to see all the releases, get the one without CUE+CM if you're not using Corsair or Cooler Master keyboards).
