Cortex causes Starcraft 2 to crash on any kind of resolution change | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

When I have cortex running with the game boost on, changing the resolution, window state (fullscreen, borderless, windowed) or alt-tabbing out and back in causes this crash to occur in Starcraft 2 but no other game.

Solution was to close cortex if someone else is having the problem.

Kinda annoying, might want to look into it.
Hi Moony47, to analyze the cause of this issue, we need your help getting some logs for investigation.

Please download and unzip the file and run LogCollector.exe from here, then fill out the Game and Description, then click Output button. There will be a zipped file generated on your desktop with all logs needed.

Please upload the logs to services like Dropbox or Google Drive and paste the link here in the forum.

Thank you in advance for your help.
What do you mean by description? A description of the crash?

You can try this and tell me if it is working

Steps:

1. Open Razer Cortex, select game booster, select boost, turn off auto boost for all games.

2. Exit Razer Cortex from taskbar and restart your computer.

3. When you reach your desktop, open Razer Cortex and make sure the game booster is off, exit Razer Cortex from taskbar again

4. Restart your pc and launch the game.

Hey,

As I said before this was the solution I came up with myself so yes it does work.

Hi, ya i know. I mean you can try my method and see if it works as it does not require Cortex to be closed when gaming, I tried on mine when playing AC3 and it works 😂
