Cortex not recognizing Neverwinter

Murrlan
I downloaded Cortex last night so I could earn silver playing Neverwinter for the rest of the month. However, Cortex doesn't recognize it even though its in my Steam library. I originally downloaded NW through Steam. I got a new rig a week ago so I had to download my games again and for whatever reason it didn't show up in my library so I started playing it though the Arc client. Cortex recognized it through Arc (along with all of my other Steam games and non-Steam games), but that does no good since to earn silver it has to be through Steam. I uninstalled Arc and NW, then figured out how to re-download NW (I was just being dumb apparently) from Steam again. I even reinstalled Cortex and re-booted, but it still doesn't recognize NW. Am I missing something?

If your still having a issue with NW tracking silver is your cortex and NW client installed on the same drive? As is they're not you sometimes will experience problems but normally works fine if you have them installed on the same drive as each other.

Well apparently I'm a moron. I noticed tonight a refresh button on the Cortex interface. I clicked it and NW showed up and I started earning silver :confused_:.

Well good to hear you got it sorted probably a file path problem or was trying to track the wrong exe or some thing. if you added it manually to start with i had a similar issue with World of Tanks.

It took a while for me to have Cortex recognize it too. But after a reboot it was fixed.

So, in order for NW to be recognized by Cortex it has to be downloaded from Steam instead of Arc?

Yes for NW to track you are required to run it off the steam client.

Not a problem, hope it will start working for you to when launched via steam. just remember refresh/rescan your cortex library after you've installed it via steam, an you can start earning some silver :smile_:

It recognized it when I downloaded it through Arc, but yea as Sliproach said you only earn Silver if you play through Steam.

I don't believe it is required to link your steam to cortex to earn silver via supported steam games. Linking your steam an cortex will share your steam wishlist with cortex which then in turn will inform you of any available deals/offers for any games you currently have on your wishlist.
